So....if I go over the 30 business days will the nvc do anything??? Also do I count the scanned date in my 30 day calculation??

You should call and ask to speak with a supervisor. Are you referring to ds261 or AOS/IV packets?

Hi Folks!

Just a quick question here. Just want to make sure.

For Part 6 Question 13.a in the affidavit of support, is it the "Total Income" amount in the IRS tax return that I will need to write in? Correct?

Have a blessed Tuesday everyone!

It depends on which tax form you filed. If you filed the 1040EZ you would use Adjusted Gross Income, but for any other form (including the 1040) you use Total Income.

Yes. As long as it's the 1040, it's total income line 22. If it's the 1040EZ then it needs to be adjusted gross income.

Noted. So we will use the Total Income since my husband filed the 1040 form.

Thank you so much! Appreciate the quick response. :goofy:

Think I'm gonna start issuing my own checklists for people not following directions on my form request sheet  Just added/updated 10 people and very few actually followed the instructions perfectly :ranting:

Hello, I'm the petitioner and we plan on having no joint sponsors for the AOS package. I've been living and working outside the US for the past 3 years. I have been filing for taxes in the US but not paying any as I qualify for foreign earned income exclusion and earn less than $99,200 a year. Do I just send my pointless US tax information from the past 3 years in the AOS package or should I also include the my tax information that I have payed for the country that I currently live in? Thanks!
