Nope, I just mailed the application and waited. I think it depends on which office the application ends up to. I also believe that there was a time when USCIS was able to clear a 3 or 5 months backlogs in 1 month time. I guess mine was fortunate enough to be included in those speedy batch.

Thanks for the reply! I wish you continued speedy processing :)

The NVC just doesn't make any sense. I'm happy for you -- it's great that you're moving forward! Get that police certificate in the mail. :)

At the same time, what about the people who have been waiting since May? (I'm not one of them; I submitted my DS-261 a couple of days after you.)

Did you submit an expedite request or ask for help from a senator or representative?

Nope nothing. We don't even call them much. I called them on Friday to ask if they scanned our AOS package and then randomly said that it will be a month in 2 days for my IV invoice. So she said that it's taking 30 business days but u prolly will recieve in sooner so don't worry. Maybe u should call them :)

Well, it seems like some people get lucky while others get unlucky! That's life, I guess.

Maybe it has nothing to do with being lucky or unlucky? :star: Maybe NVC is just unfair or disorganized?

Lol! Look at my timeline I am sure no one in their right mind would think I am lucky :D I am actually shocked that something happened for us sooner haha. That's the reason I didn't mail the package becasue I was sure it's gonna take way more time for me than normal lol! I suppose u should always have faith in Allah :)

So In ds260 form they ask u for ur present address and ur mailing address. Present should bet Pakistani address Ofcourse but what will come under mailing address? The same one or my husband's address?

And second question is they ask a question about ur present occupation. By occupation do they mean employment? Like I m a doctor but not working right now so should my current occupation be 'not employed' or doctor? And the occupation with which u intend to work in states is easy Ofcourse. Current one is confusing me.

My got invoice just now after 35 business days for my another case.Thank god...

I pray yours will be invoiced soon...

I am no Saylin, but that has been normal in my case. For my AOS fee I received the invoice and couldn't actually pay until the following day. I called and they said that was normal. I also received my IV invoice today, and can't pay it online yet. I am going to wait until tomorrow morning, and then if it isn't available; I'll call. But, yes, I think it's normal, so congrats!!

Thanks a lot .I was so tensed ...Just now it got invoiced my my another case. Now I am so relaxed...

Hi! For those who have documents scanned on the 16th of June, I just wanted to ask if when are you planning to call NVC for an update? We also have our packet scanned on that date and to be honest I think I die a little every time I call NVC and get the 30-business days answer.

Thank you very much and I wish us good luck!

Hi all,

From what I see the I-864 seems to be a very popular item for a checklist. Ours was because we entered my wifes (sponsor) US income in US dollars converted from Canadian as she lives and works here, but in reality it's zero because of the foreign income exclusion.

It seems that the majority of checklists are on the AOS package. :dead:

However, it's no longer a big deal to get a checklist on the AOS package. It's taking up to 30 business days (45 days or 1 month and half) to receive the IV fee invoice so it won't affect your timeline as long as you send your AOS package as soon as you pay the fee.
