As they initiated supervisor review for you, it should be today or tomorrow. Hang tight, it took them exactly two days after they said they would have supervisor take a look at my ds261.

Hopefully...thank you for the encouragement...

Oh no!! UGH. I pray that you hear something later today or tomorrow at the latest, or that the links on the site become active so you can get a move on again!! (L)

Thank you my middle child....they have me over a barrel as all I can do is wait....Thank you for your thoughts...xx

Snap out of it, I have been there and its so not good.

when did USCIS shipped your case to NVC?

And have you been calling NVC?

its hard not to feel this way after being a USCIS for so long and now to have too being going through this its just too much.

I'm not sure wen USCIS shipped the case out but I had called NVC on the 20th of June and they told my husband that they hadn't received the case, he called again two days in a row constantly the line was busy wen he finally got thru on wensday they said that they still have not received it and that he shud scan the N0A2 and email it to them which he did and we have yet to receive an email back from them.

It means that even though they gave you your case number, your case it still not set up in the system. It is a rather infuriating step they have added, the torture of having a case number you can do nothing with! Don't worry, though soon enough you'll be able to log in. My case # was assigned on June 20th; I couldn't log in until July 7th.

I posted the following on the VJ forum , but no response (yet)

Can anyone help me with my question

Im really confused about part 6 on the I-864

in part 6 , item number 5 i have to put my current individual annual income.

then on item number 6 it says income you are using from any other person who was counted in your household.

wich is no one. , so i left al the fields blank.

but .......... when i look at the instructions of the I-864

it says on item number 6 "this section is used to determine the sponsor's household income. take your annual individual income from item number 5 and enter it under number 6.c

then when you look at item number 10.

it will say My current individual household income ( total all lines from 5 , 6.c , 7.c , 8.c and 9.c. will be compared to poverty guidelines

now this doesnt add up because then i count my income twice .. on number 5 and number 6.c ????

how am i suppose to fill this out ???

This is how I did it...

In part 6 item number 5 I looked at my pay stub. I took my Gross income and multiplied it by 26 (I get paid every other week). ex. 1500.90 x 26

I put N/A in every single blank field!

Number 10 should have the same figure that part 6 number 5 has if it is just you and hubby/wifey. If you have no one else in your household 6c should have n/a in it.

Hello everyone,

I've been a guest visitor on these forums on and off. And I have a concern about the nvc process, hopefully someone can clarify it for me.

My case was approved by the uscis and forwarded to NVC in May but uscis didn't send me my original marriage certificate back. Thinking that they had sent it to NVC along with my file, I moved on to the NVC process to submit the fees and documents in June.

But now I have received a checklist for not submitting the marriage certificate. I spoke with NVC and they have put it under a supervisor review. My question is, did you all receive your marriage certificates back or you had to request it to be mailed to you from the uscis?

You're not meant to send your original marriage certificate to USCIS -- just a photocopy. Sending the original to an agency that didn't request it doesn't count toward the requirements for the next agency, unfortunately. You'll have to obtain another copy to send to NVC. USCIS won't return documents from your case file at this point. You'll get the original/certified copy back at the time of interview.

So, I sent an email to NVCInquiry@state.gov last June 13, 204. I just received a reply email today (July 14, 2014) from them. Here's what I got (just an FYI for those who wants to send an email inquiry)

"Dear Sir/Madam:

The Department of State's National Visa Center (NVC) is committed to the
protection of personal information of visa applicants and their
petitioners. To ensure the confidentiality of visa files and to prevent
the unauthorized release of personal information, the NVC requires that
the following information be provided with each inquiry:

Name of the person submitting the inquiry
NVC case number or USCIS receipt number
Petitioner's name
Principal Applicant's name and date of birth

NOTE: If the visa petition is employment-based (I-140), include the
employer's company/organization name instead of the petitioner's name
and date of birth.

Unfortunately, your inquiry did not contain ALL of the above
information. Please resubmit your inquiry with the above information so
we may update our records accordingly and provide you with a specific
response.

IMPORTANT:
Do not let more than one year pass without contacting the NVC concerning
this visa petition. If a period of one year passes from the last date of
contact (by telephone, mail, or e-mail) with the NVC, all submitted fees
and documents expire. If this occurs, the fees must be paid again and
documents must be resubmitted in order to continue the immigration
process.
