Hi baltoro,

Islamabad embassy permits the petitioner to accompany the beneficiary during interview. But it is not mentioned anywhere whether it is walk in by showing the proof of citizenship or it is required to make a prior appointment. If you come to know the procedure please share with me.

My spouse will send an email to embassy for this query. If we will get the response ,i will post here.

As far as I know, beneficiary with US passport can accompany in the waiting room. A friend of mine recently went with when his mother had an interview. I will ask them as well but let me know what you hear back from them.

NOOOOOOOOOOOO call them as soon as you can. :(So sorry this happened. :(

Thanks for the advise Soloenta, thanks for caring

I called them, a nice woman answered, told me that the check list has two points regarding the filing tax for the year 2013 and employment status for the petitioner.

I told her that in the original papers (that I sent before) I clearly stated that the petitioner is unemployed. Also there was an attached letter that clearly explains that there was no 2013 tax return filed since the petitioner is unemployed.

She advised me to resend it again and use a black pen on all the empty fields that has to do with the Part 6 with N/A. And so I did. Just came back from DHL. Should be in NVC next Wednesday noon.

Maybe I should either call a supervisor, or send an email to nvc inquiry.

What do you think? Will that make it faster if they recheck my papers and see for them selves?

Or should I just wait for at least one week to get my new I864 scanned and another 5 weeks to be processed

how come your DS261 shows no agent or attorney selected, mine show my name since i am the agent for my wife... did you completed??

I'm assuming it's because I'm the beneficiary and I didn't select anyone to act on my behalf

Odd, when I log into CEAC it says *pay now* for both fees but when I try to pay the IV fee there isn't a total. Are they inputting it or have they tricked me? lol

Poor NVC Todd was so patient to listen to me rant and cry only to hear there is nothing he can do....33 or 34 business days now and still no IV invoice...no DS 260 and I am going to be traveling with no internet service after Wed for the next 3 weeks.....I am so pissed at the system!! I should have had all of this completed by now and if they would have stuck to their timeline, it would have been! :ranting::ranting::ranting:

And no, I don't feel better after that rant....just incredibly sad.... :crying::cry:

Oh no!! UGH. I pray that you hear something later today or tomorrow at the latest, or that the links on the site become active so you can get a move on again!! (L)
