Not sure, I've wondered how people know scan dates? Do I have to call NVC and ask?

You need to call NVC to find out.

As of a month ago, it was taking them about 3 business days to scan a package in after delivery.

I'm the USC petitioner. My wife is British (now a USC!!!), generally awesome, and amazingly patient.

Any predictions how bad, bad will get? It seems last week saw only two days worth of NVC packet processing. Mine was scanned June 13th and it seems it would be August before it's touched at this rate!

I haven't been around long enough to make a good educated guess. Please don't put too much value in what I say here.

That said, it certainly looks like it is taking them longer to work through one day's worth of scans now than a month ago. Right now, they are very close to 30 business days. Looking at a small sample of CCs from a month ago, it looks like people got their files reviewed in about 20 business days back then. That's a 50% increase in just a month.

NVC has stated they are now receiving 22K files a day from USCIS up from 6K per week before. That is a huge increase.

I had a professor in school who taught me that when faced with a definitive trend, you should always predict that the trend will continue. That way, you'll only be wrong once. I'm going to predict that things are going to get worse. 30 business days seems to be some sort of magical number for NVC so I wouldn't be surprised if various steps in the process start taking longer (i.e. time to scan packages).

Hopefully I am wrong! :)

I'm the USC petitioner. My wife is British (now a USC!!!), generally awesome, and amazingly patient.

Okay I checked on the CEAC website and under Visa Application Status it says "READY" ....

"Your case is ready for your interview when scheduled at the U.S. Consular section. If you have already scheduled an appointment for an interview, please prepare your documents as directed in your appointment letter and appear at the consulate on the appointed date and time. Otherwise, please wait until you have been notified of your interview appointment. Hi friends,

Just needed to email you all as you are the only ones who understand.

I have had a TERRIBLE morning. Came down with a bad cold last night so feel ####### anyway. We all got up this morning at 4.30 am (which I am used to anyway as I take my son swim training at that time five times a week) to take Andy to the airport as he left to go back to New York and I was just crying like a baby. I am usually so strong and have to be for the children. I settled down by the time we got to the airport. He was very supportive but I feel so bad for him. He is all alone again while I have the children and dogs here.

After yesterday's Checklist and now being separated again it was all just too much. We were all quiet on way home. I think the children - ages 13 and 15 - really felt it this time. Went back to bed and slept for a couple of hours.

Oh well life and this nightmare go on! I will feel better tomorrow.

Thanks for listening and I wish you all good luck this coming week.

Xxx

Sending big hugs your way! This process has our emotions up and down like a roller coaster. Of course you will be feeling low with getting a cold, a checklist and your hubby leaving all in the last couple of days. Since every high has a low, just remember every low has a high. Keep reminding yourself it will all be over and you will be together soon. You have been through the worst of it and now are almost on the home stretch. My dad keeps saying to me "You are further along than if you had started today".

Stay strong for your kids, but allow yourself to feel sad when you need to, it is completely normal. Have a cry if you need to, then move on to do something to keep your mind off this mess. Start researching fun stuff to do in the US when you are all reunited xo

EP did you real good. CEAC status confirms your case is at Amman consulate. Congrats! Call NVC tomorrow and see if they scheduled an appointment for you. If not, call embassy to schedule it.

As for the email, verify it didn't come directly from ustraveldocs. I thought www.ustraveldocs.com is a private company used for sending passport/visa packet back to you after approval, but the email said you need to schedule the interview appointment through them? Doesn't add up!

She just called the embassy and they told her the same thing, to go on ustraveldocs.com, register an account, and schedule an appointment. The e-mail came from "Amman-IV@state.gov..

Man they hooked it up big time. I better get on this and see if I can get this scheduled. That came out of nowhere, my AOS didn't change to N/A and I didn't receive any e-mails. Just out of the blue she said you gotta check your e-mail, hurry! When I did I was unsure for the same reasons you were, but she called and I checked the CEAC "status page" as opposed to the DS-260 page that lists if your payments are complete, and thats when I was like this might just be it, after I saw it say "READY"

Thanks so much, you know I took a break from here after what happened the EP issues I had. I just had to step back for a couple weeks. But it sounds like since NVC doesn't work weekends I must have gotten it sometime last week. I still don't know if they really didn't receive the first set of e-mails or if they just were being super nice for my situation after I explained to the supervisor what had happened.
