Congratulations!!! :dancing:

OMG, my Aos fee change to N/A. Will call to confirm tomorrow!!!!

Good luck for your call, can't wait to hear you say "Case Complete" :goofy:

Hi all

Third month on NVC thread and really hoping for a Case complete in July and a September interview.

Congratulations to all those Case Completes yesterday.

I am checking out for 12 days. Taxi arrives at 4.45 tomorrow morning to take children and I to airport. Flying to Sydney. Meeting Andy and then all flying up to Queensland for a holiday.

I know that there will be much good news when I next check in. Will probably take me a couple of days to catch up on the 100 plus pages.

My thoughts and prayers will be with you all.

Of course, I know I will be sitting on that beach and hitting that refresh button waiting for my false checklist!!!!!

Xxx

Enjoy your family time in warm QLD. I was freezing my backside off in Melbourne today. Hope you get that false checklist and your case complete not long after you return from holidays x

Guys how do we know whether it is a false checklist or the real one (thinking)...

Do we all get false check list or ..????

If it asks for a specific item/document on the package, then it's a real checklist however, if it asks for the whole(IV or AOS) package (even if you already sent it) then it's a false checklist, but call to be sure.

OMG, my Aos fee change to N/A. Will call to confirm tomorrow!!!!

omg! call call call... ours didn't change yet but I'm hoping it's today too ;)

Good luck!

Hello! My husband and I were approved by the USCIS on June 25th, so should we call sometime this week to make sure NVC receives our case? Or will they let us know when they get it? Also, I guess we have to wait a month from when they get it until we get the case number? Or can we do the trick like the guides say and keep calling and hassling them?

I don't know why but for some reason this step seems more confusing than the last.

If you look at my timeline and others, you'll get an idea of when nvc receives the case, enters a cse #, etc.

This wiki by Saylin:

http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_Process

Clearly explains what's next for you.

Do note that right now, nvc is running more slowly. Case #s are taking longer, as is everything else. I would try calling nvc about 2 weeks after your NOA2 date.

Good luck!

Not sure what "trick" you're referring to, but you can't hassle a number out of operators. Once it gets assigned, they can give it to you, but not even the operators will magically know your case number when it hasn't even been assigned. The whole point of calling daily (or however often you wish) is so that you're as up to date as possible on your case. Calling daily doesn't make them work faster or anything like that

I decided I better chime in if I'm just going to sit here waiting for an eternity.

Submitted the DS-261 on May 20th, then opened it again to re-print the confirmation, but had to go all the way through it, although I did not change any information. According to NVC, it was officially submitted May 29th and still waiting for IV fee. AOS docs scanned in June 3rd so hopefully I will hear something about one of these this week!

I just have to say that I would have been lost without this website. I copied and pasted Saylin's wiki and separated it into word docs and added my own notes.... then printed them out and they're taped up on my kitchen wall as a giant checklist. But the good kind of checklist where things are getting done, not the bad kind. ;) Also, Bdrew's blog and now BOS_LHR's blog.... I've had so many laughs and cries over these. My family and friends just don't get it like you guys do. Here's to hoping NVC picks up the pace! Thank you everybody! :luv:

Wow, that is awesome! What kind of notes did ya add?

Of course, but the first email you get from NVC will have your case number etc. in it... so if they're restricting access to CEAC until that email is issued, maybe they're trying to stop people from tying up phone lines to get their numbers ahead of time?

It's true that I could not log in until I got my email. It was locked until that day. They've now stretched the processing by 60 days -- 30 extra days to be able to access the portal, and 30+ days to review the DS-261. Argh.
