Helo. I just got married and planning to apply for DCF. I am confused if I should change my passport since its still in my maiden name? Will I encounter complications if ever I don't change it? Thank you

Sorry, can't see your country on the mobile site.

You can do it either way, but if you want your green card to be in your married name better change it. All documents are going to match, passport, GC, visa, plane ticket, etc. If you don't do it now, next chance will be at removal of conditions.

Most countries its an easy process. All depends on what you wanna do.

If you want to use married name, change passport now. You'll need the NSO marriage certificate for DFA. That way your visa and green card will bear your married name.

But you can still continue to use your maiden name, if you choose to retain it.
