Please anyone help me...I would like to withdraw my husband's petition to stay here in America we are not together and I feel used and betrayed. We completed the 2 year paperwork together but now I know it was just a ploy for him to stay here and not go back to Jamaica. If he is approved I don't want the burden of me having to sponsor him for 10 years and we're not together. He feels he can just fade away and won't be around but I know I will still be responsible for him and I just don't want to have to do that for someone I'm not with or no longer love. One he came to America he changed 360 I really just wish I could undo everything. ...Please help any suggestions ?

Sorry to hear this has happened to you. The only thing you can really do is call NVC and tell them what's going on. They wil guide you in terms of how to file a complaint against him. Also be aware that you might get into trouble as well because there have been many cases of people who turn around just because they want vengeance against the other person for whatever reason. However, you did consciously sign the co sponsor papers. You might want to know if he actually knows what it means. If you perceive that he doesn't, just leave it be. Have him become a US citizen ASAP if you can. I know it is very frustrating and hard. I had a friend a few years ago go thru the same thing. She just waited for him to become a US citizen and hasnt seen him since. Lots a love, patience, and care sent your way. Hope everything resolves itself soon, just be patient and take time to think everything thru.

What do you mean by 2 year paperwork ? Removal of conditions ? If he has a green card, then there's nothing you can do. Divorce, forget and move on.

**Moderator hat off**

The only thing you can really do is call NVC and tell them what's going on. They wil guide you in terms of how to file a complaint against him.

In the OP's situation, the NVC will be of no use.

OP, what you need to do is make an INFOPASS appointment at your local USCIS office and ask to speak with the FDNS officer.

Thanks for all the suggestions and feedback, but yes I mean the two year removal of conditions have not yet been approved we just submitted it about 2 month ago and haven't heard back as of yet so cant I withdraw it before I make a final decision or before they ask for more proof to be sent in ? Then you say have him become a US citizen asap but then as I stated before I will be responsible for him for ten years in which that's what I don't want the burden of doing especially now that I know he came under false pretentions.

No hun, if he becomes a US citizen, you are no longer responsible for him. The ten years is if he remains a resident. All responsibility evaporates after becoming a citizen.
