Sent the I-485 today. It looked so good I took pics of it; the only thing missing is the money orders that I got when I mailed it, and I put everything on that zip-lock waterproof-ish envelope.

Update:

For some reason I received my I-512 (AP Document) - but still have not received my EAD. Was hoping they would both end up on the I-766 (EAD) card.

I got two copies of the I-512. It's a piece of paper with my picture and some embossed DHS stamp over the picture. The picture used is the one I sent in with form I-131.

The I-512 arrived Saturday, August 16.

Hi Guys!

I'm a July filer as well. I have been posting in the other July filers thread under Family based visas but I noticed that they moved some of my posts to this place - adjusting from work, student or tourist visas. Not sure where I really fall. Lol. I am adjusting from another pending i-485 through my mom's employment (EB3) filed since 2007 - I was a derivative of her pending I-485 since I was only 18 when that was filed. Yup, until now my mom's still waiting for a decision on hers, it's been more than 7 years.

Since I got married last June, our lawyer has withdrawn my application from my mom's case upon receiving my receipt numbers from my AOS application through marriage.

I know, it's a bit complicated. I just wanted to say hi to everyone and good luck!!

We already have an interview date which is on September 10. Ahhhh!! I can't wait to get past this!

keep us posted - i did call up USCIS hotline and requested to expedite my EAD too... crossing myu fingers...

Hello everybody! I am a July filler too. Just received my appointment for biometrics. Did anybody go to San Marcos for biometrics? How much does it take?

I mean, how much time?

You just go to the office (it can be the office your appointment is at or some different one, it doesn't matter)

You ask if you can do the biometrics, because.. (sometimes you don't have to think about excuses, but it's good to have one)

You show them your appointment letter and your passport

and they may say yes or no.

In one office they can agree, in the other, they will kick you out

You just have to try.

The biometrics itself take around 10-15 minutes

But sometimes you have to wait a little bit, sometimes 20 minutes, sometimes an hour

Depends on how the office is busy.

When you filed your expedite request, did you include your email address? If not, they will send you a hard copy response which delays the process by the amount of days the hardcopy takes to reach you. Either way, you should call in to get an status update every two or so days by talking to a Tier 2 rep. If there is an update requesting something they will tell you and give you the neccessary details to fax it in. (fax number and Attn).

I used faxzero.com to fax in and put the attn with a big font on the first "cover page" together with the receipt number and expedite request reference number. I also noted how many pages this fax was - including the cover pages and attachments. Second page was a custom cover page with a note and some more info about the case.

No EAD yet.. :/
