Don;t worry I'm on initial review too :D

Some people received their GCs without any info online.

Call USCIS asap. Why wait?

I just hope i get that gc in the mail...that will be a wonderful surprise!

Our lawyer said that we can actually first make an inquiry after 60 days. According to him, USCIS is entitled to have about 30 or 60 days (i forget) after the interview to review the case and come to a final decision. It's not imperative for them to make a decision right away . He said it really could take up to 30 or more days. Grrrrrrr :ranting::cry:

You can call if you have "any questions"

Just call and get some info, maybe the system is broken or something.

It would call you down at least. Seriously. Call today, even now. What they gonna say? Oh, we are sorry, we're not gonna talk to you?

I just feel like calling won't make any difference. I just feel like I will just be given the standard answer of "please wait unti xx days after your interview before inquiring." I feel like calling and speaking with a USCiS operator/tier 2 really won't give me a solid answer.

Nevertheless, I will still try and call first thing tomorrow morning. The hold time will take forever if I call now.

I have also scheduled an infopass appointment for October 1st - crazy that that's Santa Ana's first available appointment! Hopefully, I won't have to go to that one because I would have already heard from them by that time. Crossing my fingers xx

This is the first that I've heard about getting a call to see how the device was.

Normally they have you fill out a comment card after they finish with ur finger prints.

This is really weird, did they ask you any personal questions ?

Have u tried calling them since it has been over 5 days?

On my end I had to quit from one of my jobs because HR couldn't or more like wouldn't provide me that letter and I knew for a fact that I wasn't getting my EAD before the expiration date :(

I requested a letter from what now is my only job (babysitting) hopefully I can get on from my boss. The only down side is that they want a "letter from your employer on company letterhead" I'm not employed by a company now :( so I don't know if a personal letter would do much.

Thank you everybody. AOS in 68 days.. that was pretty fast! Still no info about my GC.. My online status is still on "Initial Review". I do have the letter and EAD and everything.. but I wish I could just STOP visiting this website and happily get drunk that we finished the whole process. Without GC in hand it's hard to do so.

Speaking of EAD expedite.. You should get some info by email within a WEEK. I remember that Tier 2 we were talking to, said that's a standard timeline and If we didn't get in time, we should call. I truly believe that calling calling calling and talking to Tier 2 would help. 50 days of waiting to expedite the document is ridiculous. Especially if you are working and your future career could be damaged by this.

They do have a mess there, that's a fact. Sometimes you can talk to people who aren't very much helpful (but at least they try). The best idea is just calling. I think we know USCIS number by the heart right now. Everything will be ok, I'm sure. Fingers crossed!

Received my EAD/AP card yesterday!

Now to just wait to hear from USCIS...9 days since our interview and still counting...

@Tormentis I called USCIS this morning and they just said what I knew they would say.....wait for 30 days before making an inquiry :( i knew it...... lame.

Congrats! You are almost there!

They wouldn;t give you EAD if you weren't approved.. I guess.

I called USCIS today again and asked politely about my status.

They say that "the online status is frequently not up to date."

Oh really..

I was also told that I may just expect the GC in my mailbox, without any info from USCIS

or, most likely they would send me only the tracking number.

I have no idea who invented this online system

But it doesn't work!

Yeah, they always just give standard answers on the phone which is why I just gave up on calling.

Ugh...I just can't wait to get belligerently drunk once I get that update about my gc!!!!!!!!! :clock::jest:
