Yes your HR will not give you a letter like that. What you need is to show financial stress if you don't get your EAD. The way to prove that is to show that you will be put on leave without pay if you do not get your EAD on time. I tried doing this before on 8/20 and they rejected it, without giving an explanation. I put in a new request on 9/2 saying that since I have not got my EAD I am on leave without pay until I get my EAD. They have not rejected it yet, but I have't seen any change in the status as well. So not sure what it is, I will be calling them today to see if they would have mercy on my soul

Rerto, do they send a confirmation if your expedite request is accepted. Last time when they rejected my request they sent an email in 3 days saying they have denied the request. Now its been 6 days and I haven't seen anything. Last time when I called the 1800 number they said my email, phone all details are present so the officer can choose to communicate with me with anything.

I am hoping they have accepted it since I have not received decline email and the field officer at the local USCIS office said my financial stress case looks legit. But none of my statuses have changed yet, so there is that.

I will be calling them today again.

I didn't get anything regarding my request being successful, my EAD case changed from Initial Review -> Card Production, I didn't have anything in between.

Thanks excitedtimes. Well that's the difference then, my status has not moved. Talked again with the USCIS guys, they said all we can do is create another expedite request. So I went ahead an created another one. I also talked to the tier 2, who was a pretty rude lady, just said categorically we won't expedite any request unless its been 75 days. I am guessing this number of days is just pretty subjective and an easy way to postpone having to deal with this. Quite disappointed, I guess I just have to wait and watch. I don't think there is anything else I can do about this now.

So, it took like 6-7 days before my case got approved then another 7 days before I received the card. The approval will show online and you should get texts/emails if you have registered for updates on USCIS.gov

Ok, If I were you now I would wait till it's been 8-10 days since you filed the request, and roughly 5-8 days after faxing in the offer/supporting docs. I would call daily for updates to make sure nothing is missing. Then - I would go ahead and talk to my local congressman/woman. Explain and tell them it's ridiculous. They should be able to escalate further.

Thank you, we are freaking out Especially my wife is terrifying. She doesn't have a perfect memory, and she heard they could ask her what she was eating the very previous day. She doesn't remember what she had on breakfast lol :")

Is the USCIS playing with my anxiety?

- On the 5th, I got an email saying my AED was approved, and moved to Card Production.

- On the 8th, I got the same email.

- Earlier this morning, they said my card was mailed today, and

- just now I got another email saying it was approved, and moved back to Post Decision.

I know for sure my husband and I passed it. But the fact that we do not know when we will be issued the OFFICIAL approval is sooo frustrating!!!!!!

Today, I received an update stating that our i-130 is approved as well as the EAD and AP.

However, i-485 changed to "initial review". Shoot, this makes me so worried!!!!!!
