There is absolutely NO problem with the address, it's been the same from the very beginning. The post office just decided to not deliver it, and that's it! They had bad day and here we are! We called our post office like 10 times in last 10 days, we called USCIS several times and they all said - we have to wait. So we did!

Now we really dont know what to do. We asked USCIS to resend the mail, but we supposedly have the interview IN A WEEK.

I doubt that this mail will make it!

USCIS refused to send it by fax, or email or any other way. It has to be the snail mail!

FUN!

WHEN YOU THINK YOUR CASE IS MOVING SMOOTHLY, YOU ARE PROBABLY WRONG

That is terrible! I am sure that they have your interview schedule in their system. Can't you get a letter from post office admitting fault? Or something like that. That way, you can take that with you to your interview.

I wonder if you show up to the interview and tell them your story. I mean, they could just look you up for their appointments on that day, what do you think?

Wish you would get it already!

I don;t really think that getting ANYTHING like that from post office would take 15 minutes. I don;t have time. I don;t even know if my interview is still actual. I can show up of course at the office and wait there for the whole day (which is ridiculous) but without the letter they wouldn't even start the interview! So showing up would be kinda useless.

I really hope that they will resend the damn letter. It's so confusing and even if the officers of USCIS are very nice - still it doesn't help.

Why can't they just send it by email or publish the letter on the profile to download it? WHY?

Tormentis,

Take a step back and breathe. I can feel your frustration.

Call and talk to a tier 2 rep. Tell them what happened. If they can't help you out - schedule a infopass appointment with your local office or walk in and see if they can help you.

I know people have successfully gotten the letter faxed - you just have to request that from a tier 2 rep. They will contact the local office for you so the local office faxes it out.

btw: I still have not received my letter but my interview is over a month away anyway. If I have not received it by end of next week I will call and talk to a tier 2 to have to faxed.

I can understand any USCIS irritation currently...

I called up to make sure they received the EAD evidence I faxed to them to get told "I won't be able to find that out, but you can make an infopass appointment to do so!"

I go to make an infopass appointment and...

At this time, there are no information appointments available for the office in your area. Please try back again later.

Hurray!

Yay! My employment authorisation is in mail. Time to get the resume going!!!

Congrats to you too! I see that our petition was submitted on the same day. Hoping that my interview gets scheduled soon too.

Would you know if the EAD and AP are issued as a combo card? I've read some posts that suggest that. But my AP application does not show any movement so far..... Just wondering.....

Thank you Henmoh ... come over - ill buy you two bottles of beer ...LOL

hmmm.. only my I-765 status changed to card production though... I-131 is still in initial review ...;( is that something to worry about? i read here one time to just neglect the status changes updates in the USCIS website because they fail to update these for whatever reasons...

My card says at the bottom : CARD SERVES AS I-512 ADVANCE PAROLE

With a letter which states : Your combination Employment Authorization and Advance Parole Card ( combo) card serves as both an employment authorization document and an advance parole document while your form I-485 is pending with USCIS.
