Sophiesworld,

When you put in the request for expedite - did you state that you had an offer letter? Did they input it that way in the request? Is so, wait a couple of days and contact them again to see if there's any update on the status. They will request additional documentation (offer letter). You just fax it in to them and they'll process the expedite.

My case moved to Testing and Interview this morning.. hopefully we'll get a date soon. Although, my local field office (New York City) says that they are currently processing i-485 applications from December 2013.. so it seems like there is a big line ahead of me! Any ideas on the average wait time for an interview date once the case is in the Interview and Testing stage? I did my biometrics on 8/22 and this notification has arrived 4 days later.

No movement on my EAD - still in the Initial Review stage.

Good luck everyone!

urgh..so I contacted my local congressman last Wednesday & faxed in the supporting documents to her for my expediated EAD processing. I called her today and she said that they've initiated an inquiry with USCIS on my behalf on 20 August but there's no update yet.

I checked my status on USCIS and there's no change. I just got off the phone with USCIS, and apparently, there isn't and expedite request put in? I think I was speaking with a Tier 1 IO, and he put in a request for me. But when I asked if he needs any supporting document, he said that there isn't any need for supporting documents as USCIS will not be processing it..?

Just feeling a little anxious right now..should I call USCIS again and speak with a Tier 2 IO? And if so..how do I go about doing it?

Just done exactly the same thing, Congressman's office gave me a "they're back up, we're backed up" excuse.

My situation has become a little more urgent with a cancer diagnosis of my further back in the UK, so I called up USCIS to check, they said they'd had nothing new on the EAD so I put in an expedite request with the woman there and then.

Yeah, I explained all on the phone and why it would mean urgency was necessary.

Not sure whether it's related or not, my EAD has not changed, but my I-485 just moved to testing & interview, so ... that's good!

Hey Guys,

I raised the request to expedite my case on thursday last week and no one called or emailed to get any supporting documents. Monday I got an email saying the request has been denied. I have the letter from my employer explaining the situation and why my request needs to be expedited. But since they denied without asking, I am just sitting on the letter. I called them now again and now they are saying they can not reopen the request or create a new request for 30 days. Has anyone gone thru this?
