It was an ad from Chase and Sanborn coffee. A man had his wife over her knee and the caption read something along the lines of, see what could happen if you don't buy the wrong coffee.

Now in Charles defense I did say, "the good ol days" . I did not think anyone would take it literally, but then everyone does not know my sense of humor as well as some of you. I would certainly not condone striking anyone's wife.
