Sounds like racist bs to me. People of both sexes and all nationalties pull that kind of stuff.

I was not talking about my current wife, however

TAMPO is a very well documented and accepted tradition of Philippino women. Hardly racist.

Documented by American males married to Philippino women I believe. Pure and simple passive aggressiveness. Very common in Japan, too.

Am I the only one who doesn't know what tampo is?

ampo usually is manifested in the withdrawal of affectionate or cheerful behavior, and its expression is almost entirely nonverbal. These manifestations may include:[2]

resisting expressions of affection

not talking to the person concerned, or to people in general

being unusually quiet

locking oneself in his or her own room

refusing to eat

not joining friends in group activities

withdrawing from the group

simply keeping to oneself.

These are usually efforts to get the offending party to make amends, and if these behaviors do not work, one might choose to escalate them, perhaps to foot-stamping, door-slamming, or muttering.[3

So it's basically women acting like women.

Sounds like a kindergarten hissy fit to me. Sorry. I don't think those behaviours are limited to Filipinas. Just saying.
