when we were 14-15 all of us saw a cool kid carrying one in his wallet. We all did to. No clue what to do with it and no chance of using it

People at VJ don't have sex or even know what it is. In fact, all we know is that it is dirty and must be censored.

That's why I chose a mail order bride from another country, so I would not have to subject myself to dirtyness...

And what does "don't have to be medically inaccurate" mean? Unbelievable.

It means you can only gets AIDS if you're gay and like My Little Pony.

I love a guy who looks like he could be on Criminal Minds as either an agent or a killer.

Hmm, my home state still provides sex ed according to the map. It seems from the media that sex ed has changed, but we got a lot of it: in 5th grade boys and girls separated to have different "talks" (about changing bodies - that was embarrassing!); in 7th grade everyone, including boys, had to make a menses chart; we saw a heat sensor camera of a man in profile getting an erection (that freaked me out at age 12!); in high school we had a semester of health class where we mainly watched after school specials, but we did talk about contraception and how it worked, and someone brought in examples of condoms, diaphragms, IUDs, and stuff like that.

It's weird and sad to think that the standards of the past are now too "liberal and progressive" and that the religious right has been successful in getting this stuff out of classrooms. Usually this way thinking is that what was good in the past is still good for now, It's weird to think that on sex ed in schools, I am of this "conservative" camp, because I think that things should be the same as they were 20 years ago. The religious right wants to change things to how they were 100 years ago?

I found my sex ed very informative. And I did not get pregnant as a teenager. Good job, home state.
