Give it a try, I think it should work for you also.

I'll try that. Thank you!

I noticed now that even though the status says "Ready", "status change date" was changed July 21 (first, it changed July 18)... So maybe things ARE moving with my passport! Too bad I didn't pay attention to the date, nor did a screen capture after 7/18. Oh, this is a maddening process...

Just checking in

Hubby and stepdaughter did medical Monday.

He said it was a longgggg day. They got 8 shots total and paid 700.00US

13days until interview.

Hope he can make it here by last week in August so she can start school on time.

The Medical is $600 in Honduras.... we paid about $20 at the public Hospital when our daughter was born in 2009-- to put it in perspective. They made my wife wait 72 hours for results of TB test? I am beginning to think that is not the norm. Did you complete it all in one day? she is returning tomorrow for the packets.-- its a looong three days

Yea,

Well since its only my wife then for TB they do a chest x-ray, on top of that they do a blood test and the results are sent to the doctor of choice a couple of blocks away from the lab. Then the docs performs the physical and shots while the X-rays and blood test comes up and is deliver. This is all done in one day. For children, the TB test is performed differently and i believe it takes 2-3 days.

Also this is in south america, i don't know which is tour consulate, it might be different

Hey Dwheels and fellow vj - I've read that you need to bring a signed statement (notarized also???) to the interview stating the names, address, and phone number of relatives living in the US. My wife has an uncle but he lost contact with their family for 30 years now, so what kinda list can I make?

I'll try that. Thank you!

I noticed now that even though the status says "Ready", "status change date" was changed July 21 (first, it changed July 18)... So maybe things ARE moving with my passport! Too bad I didn't pay attention to the date, nor did a screen capture after 7/18. Oh, this is a maddening process...

CEAC is a bit nutty... But at least it looks like things are moving. :)

7-18: status "Ready", status date changed 7-18 (day of the interview)

7-23: most of the day status "Ready", status date changed 7-21

7-23: after 5:30pm Brazil time status "Administrative Processing", status date changed 7-22 (yep, as of yesterday).

Hopefully tomorrow or Friday it'll show Issued/ mailed!

I'd love to be able to buy my ticket!

Hi guys... I'm new here and I will admit I have not read all 97 pages of this thread but I did read the last 20 pages or so. I have a few questions and I hope it's not one of those questions that get everyone worked up because it's been asked a million times, but here goes:

1. How do we know if NVC has sent out our documents to the consulate? Or do we know at all? Call?

2. Does it still take a week from case complete to receive the email of case complete?

3. Are interviews still being scheduled mid and end of the month? If my case was completed 17th July, what would be a guesstimate of when my interview will be scheduled?

Thank you for being patient with me :)

1. Yes you can call if you want but you will also know by email. Check on the CEAC website and it should say where your file is.

2. Yes, mine took a week to come by email.

3. Interviews are usually scheduled mid and end of month, I got case complete June 25 and got email on July 11.

Hope this helps!

To answer your first question, NVC will only send your docs to consulate after you receive email of case complete ( couple of days in my case)

you will have to call to find out if they sent it, also have to call consulate if they received it ( received a week after in my case )

I really don't have an answer for the rest of your questions, it really depends by case.

good luck
