No they can't. The hospital will reschedule an interview for them after the test.

Visa APPROVED!!!!!! Everything went well. I was super nervous and my husband was not lol. They allowed me to be with him at all times, except when it was time for the interview I couldn't say anything

I was wondering if anyone has experienced a delay in their status changing from "In Transit" to "Ready" once their package has arrived at the US Embassy?

We received our interview date on 10 July for 21 August. I've followed a package through DHL sent from Portsmouth to Bridgetown, Barbados (which is where our US Embassy is). It left on 15 July and, after a little detour to Venezuela, arrived at the embassy in Bridgetown this past Friday 18 July. I have been constantly checking the CEAC status and it still says "In Transit".

Have people experienced this type of delay in their status changing to "Ready" from when they think their package arrived? Or is this abnormal and might point to that DHL package not having included our case?

We are really on pins and needles because we want to ask for an earlier interview, but the status won't change to "Ready"!! haha

Thanks for any input.

It took ours about 2 days for it to show "Ready" after it arrived. Wait til tomorrow and see what happens! :)

Ah! So sorry to hear that! Can you still go through the interview and turn in the medical records at a later date?

Thank u... They told my husband coz he's the beneficiary, they'll gonna reschedule his interview after they get the results for his sputum test.

My husband did his medical on july 14th too, during the typhoon Glenda.. I think you saw each other u just don't know..:)

I would say within a week but it depends on the country. Your CEAC page should change from "READY" to "ISSUED".

EXPEDITE APPROVED!!!

just got off the phone with NVC on the 29th buisness day since the last scan date and no case complete but they did say our expedite request was approved. She wouldnt tell me what happens next. She just said we have to wait for NVC to contact us then hung up. Anyone who's expeditied can you tell me what happens next??? how much longer until we know when our interview is? Do i need to call the Russian embassy? please PM me or post. thanks!!!

I finally made it to this forum!!!

My NVC expedite was approved recently too! Congratulations! The NVC told me to just wait for contact from the Embassy. I haven't submitted any documents to the NVC so I am officially done with them.

Thanks dwheels! Wife just had her medical done, she's on her way to get vaccinations as I'm typing this :). I asked her if the doctors mentioned anything and she said no, so is it safe to assume everything is good?

I was told yesterday by the embassy that they received the case by DHL yesterday.

But they also told me not to go by the date the NVC gave me (aug 13), the will either have my wife do interview before of later, they couldn't give me a specific time,

is this normal ??
