i checked interview schedule for my embassy, there are only 8 CR1 cases in July.

It means 2 cases/week. Not much.

Take into consideration that DV lottery interviews are happening now as well. They go through almost the same process as a CR1 visa so their interviews are scheduled together CR1 visas.

CR1 Visa

Hello everybody! I hope all is well!

Checking in! POE yesterday at JFK New York late at night (around 10:00 pm)! The officers were very nice and courtious and allowed both of us to enter the same way (they processed my entry in the office also!). The POE process took about 10 minutes! We spent the night in New York and today we are flying to St Louis MO!

Good luck all!!!!!!

And greaaat idea for your honeymoon, perfect way to start your new life with your husband! :-) Let me know when you receive your passport so that I can see how long it takes! Enjoy your approval!

do i need original joint sponsor's birth certificate for the interview?

I don't think so, a copy of his/her passport should be enough!

If she was traditionally brought up and this is her first trip to the US, she must be seriously overwhelmed and will need sometime to find her feet. Hope there are some Moroccan families around to help her acclimate in short order.

Best wishes to you both.

Hello guys,

It has been a while since I visit this site. I have a question to you all. Tomorrow, it will be 30 business days since my response to checklist has been scanned into NVC system. I am a bit worried because they are not working on it to my expectation. Do you guys know what I need to do once it hits its 30 business days (That is tomorrow)? If you have information which scanned date they are working now, that will help me to gage mine. It is very painful process. Thanks a lot for your help on this important piece of my visa journey.

Congratulations, and welcome to the USA! I'm glad to hear the POE process went well. Can you (or anyone else that did POE recently at JFK) tell me what line you got in when you arrived? From what I recall, and this may not be correct, there are lines at immigration for "U.S. Citizens & Green Card Holders" and "Non-Citizens." My wife will probably fly into JFK later this week as her POE, and I'd like to tell her what line to get in. Maybe the package she receives will provide instructions.

Thanks,

Bill

First timers at POE now go straight to the office where they get processed! Your wife can ask the rep who directs traffic and he/she will direct her to the office! She only needs to show the package and thy will guide her to the office

Nothing to worry about. But 30 days isn;t like a rule is just what they say. And after a checklist it takes as long as it takes. I know people stranded at NVC over 30 days after. But you say 30 days tomorrow maybe this week you will get the news you want I say just call whenever you want to find out thats all you can do.

NVC isn't like USCIS where you call a Senator to tell them to hurry up. You just have to wait.

Scan date. NVC doesn't work like that. No one here has that info. It really is in order they get it however they get it.

I suggest for your peace of mind call NVC tomorrow and ask what is up with your checklist.
