I realize you still have the waiver process to get through, but congratulations on having the interview over with, even though it sounds like such a #######!! :luv::dancing::dancing::dancing:

That's a great recovery!!!! :D

I would imagine so, but does your country specific forum discuss it or your interview letter or consulate instructions on the official immigration sites?

Good luck!!

Hey - in regards to ustraveldocs, i have not read anything about it on the Vietnam site. I wasn't sure if this was K visa specific.

Oh right when you go in there is something called loomis that we were already supposed to have registered for but I don't remember any guide here talking about it or mentioning it.

I believe Loomis is the courier service that will deliver your passport/visa packet to you.

Just one last small hurdle at the POE. Hope it goes just as smoothly.

Departed Facility in CINCINNATI HUB - USA CINCINNATI HUB, OH - USA 06:11

My and urbangirluk's cases finally left the states! Next stop, London!

Same here - looks we were on the same plane from Boston to Cincinnati.

Woohoo!!! Here's to that all important little word 'Ready' then I can set about getting my date changed :D

Originally I got an Interview schedule by NVC for August 18, by mistake when I was creating an account for Loomis courier , by mistake I schedule an appointment for August 21st and immediately I cancelled that appointment. I called this morning to confirm that my original appointment was still schedule and they informed me that appointment was cancelled too (because of my stupidity :bonk: ). Then she said we have an opening for August 5th, would you like to take that appointment? WOULD I LIKE TO TAKE THAT APPOINTMENT? LOL of course I said! so at the end it paid off.

Thanks and I wish you best of luck with your process.

I wish it was that easy to change an interview date with the London Embassy <_<

Hey!! I have returned and we have passed through the interview phase!!

Visa package and stuff will be mailed to my wife's home in about a week or two then off to the states~~

It was awesome...

Let's see first off the interview was so fast I didn't realize we were being interviewed by the person I thought it was someone just asking simple questions necessary to get us to the interview phase.

After the girl was like okay so i'm going to approve your interview I was like wait what xD

Don't want to sell you on a dream of super simplicity and I can only speak about our experience but it was insane.

Got there @ 8am. our appointment was at 10am.

oh big thing

DON'T bring like any big bags or backpacks or anything I think max a small purse

Any paperwork carry in hand.

They don't allow anything inside the consulate site even says no cell phones but we thought that was too insane in 2014 so we brought ours along and they take it at security and give you a number to retrieve it when you leave so no big deal.

Also hmmm what else.....

Oh right when you go in there is something called loomis that we were already supposed to have registered for but I don't remember any guide here talking about it or mentioning it.

It's the service they use to track your greencard or something like that. You definitely have to have it or they give you the form right when you walk in and you gotta go outside and call and register the whole process takes like 5 minutes and you talk to a live person but in that 5 minutes like 4 people went ahead of us.

What else can I think of. Bring some change cause they have snack machines which is a plus but honestly neither one of us could eat.

The person we got was really chilled out and relaxed and asked simple direct questions.

We had 4 binders full of pictures and chat logs and call logs and info for days and days.

After she said okay you guys are good and approved I was like "ARE YOU SURE YOU DON'T WANT TO SEE ANY OF THIS EVIDENCE ITS ALL SO ORGANIZED AND AWESOME"

She said thank you but no its fine I can see you went through a lot of effort and thank you for it lol.

Maybe just having the ton of evidence on deck like waiting to be shown was enough for them who knows

Also its a quick stand up at a window type of thing.

We were expecting some room with a sit down and like two sided glass or something lol but it was really fine.

Also have your ds-260 confirmation with the barcode they ask for that right when you go into the building.

We didn't have it but during the whole loomis confusion the girl forgot about it and we just kept it moving.

Other then that, that's about all the advice I can think of. Legit took 3 minutes max still blows my mind but every case is different i'm sure.

The longest part was the first time you have to go to the window to present original stuff like police certificate and birth certificate and marriage certificate and such.

Best of Luck to you and everyone else can't wait to hear how your interview went!!

Congratulations, so happy for you! Please let me know how long it really takes for delivery and where are you located.
