I sent an e-mail Friday requesting an earlier interview, they replied back yesterday - it wasn't until I posted my question I realized that might have been the update. I know I said last week I gave up trying to get an earlier date, but that was before I saw others getting earlier interviews (with CCs after ours - it's not right, but it's okay - sing it Whitney!). ANYHOO my husband is meeting with his MP tomorrow to see if she can get someone on the dern phone.

My Senators have completely ignored me. I think they read my blog.

Now you know a Senator in no way can help or influence an interview change. That's favoritism and very illegal.

Was the people you mention with CC's after you going through your embassy also?

You know moving dates is all about cancellation and who asks first. Sorry you didn't get what you want but hey at least you have a date and something to look forward to. August is almost here.

But also be persistent and just keep asking. Someone could cancel at any minute and since you have medical there now you are ready to go.

I'm glad you threw the LOL in there because I was like, "What British people have you met?!" haha. My hubs and the majority of his family curse all the time as part of their normal speech, and as Eddie Izzard put it, "It's flavoring to our everyday conversations."

I don't blame you. It's just one slap in the face after another, and why? Why is it so hard for them to follow logical processes that would be fair and justifiable? After all the stress of the past 10 months you shouldn't be forced to accept that final insult. I really hope the MP can help. Wishing you both all the best -- and a fantastic, stress-free vacation no matter what else happens!

This interview date I just can't wrap my head around. I missed the July cut off by one business day and I get get scheduled on the first day for the last dern business day of the month. I'm just gonna stay mad until the date changes or he's home. Whichever is first.

All I'm asking my Senator to do is get on the phone and put in a request for me. I actually heard back from Senator Franken's office not too long ago. Anyway, she said she would try. If it was illegal, I'm sure they would have had no problem telling me no.

Yes, k.dlg & urbangirluk are both at London Embassy. Both have PDs after mine, both had CCs after mine and both their interviews are before mine. We're all in London.

I'm banging on every door and doing everything possible.

_{I have a question (on behalf of someone else). A friend of mine was just approved for his IV through marriage. He has been married to his wife now for about three years but the petition was filed few months after marriage (wife was only a LPR at the time of filing but then updated to status to USC). Will he get a temp GC or perm since by the time the petition got approved they were beyond the two years?}
