You can (and should) register at the US Traveldocs website even before CC. You will create a Log In, select a password, and create a profile. Then you have to wait till you get the interview letter to schedule the fingerprinting appointment at a OFC.

Is that the case for all embassy? I've never hard of Vietnam requiring finger printing? I thought it was just show up for interview, finger prints are taken at this time and pay courier fees after approval to have the visa delivered. Please correct me if I'm wrong about this.

Nope because paying before POE is not a requirement. You have 1 year to pay.

Yes because thats when you get your A# that is needed to pay. You sure can pay until you have a Visa.

This here everyone is the most important piece of tracking casefiles to embassy. This is the actually date NVC puts in that your case-file left. Than the other dates s the range. Usually its best to not put country of origin. Just leave blank get everywhere.

so what you think guys ..after interview(last thursday) they kept my passport but status still stuck at ready(for interview..) ..at day of the interview they didnt receive yet my case file at the embassy !!

If you filled out that contact form thingy, they do respond within 5 days. It would be lovely if we could get a human on the phone!

I did that, I guess I just have to be patient ... Ha that's funny, quite good at that already!! Agreed though, would be a whole lot easier to speak to someone! Just wanted all this sorted before my surgery, sigh....

Dear all,

I am very worried. I have a new passport with 2 last name: my husband last name + my maiden last name. but in the birth certificate of our child it is written on the other way, maiden last name + hubby last name.

do you think it will be a problem at the interview ?

any advice ???
