After you submit the contact form a message prompts and says five days. My husband days he sent one after we got our original stupid date. They replied back saying there were no openings and to attend the date as scheduled.

I sent another e-mail this morning. I also reached out to my Congress peeps in desperation.

Great news.. Glad we both escaped this month. Get that ticket.. Though I've heard Saturdays are better days to buy.

I hope you succeed in getting an earlier date! It's puzzling why NVC scheduled London August interviews in reverse order. Please let us know what happens with your request.

I will now head back to the NVC thread where I sadly still belong. 27 business days since last scan... and counting. It's starting to feel like Nebraska all over again.

I would recommend looking at Google Flights and their graph trends for the cheapest days to fly. That's how I was able to save over $800!!

hi.

congratulations to all for the upcoming interviews.

i have some questions. i have tried searching through this forum but could not get it cleared up

1 - i am the petitioner for my wife - i recently changed jobs and so my address is changed. Can i tell my wife to have them change it in her file at the time of her interview? will that effect the case in any aspect. the thing is currently i am staying with my relatives and so don`t have an address of my own till my new job starts next month.

2 - once we get the interview letter email P 4 - is there anything else the beneficiary gets in mail or it is just the email letter that we need ?? I don`t know if I am confused or what but i recall when I had my immigration done I did receive some papers at home. well that was long long ago so not sure though .

and withe the P4 letter email - she can schedule her medical and go through completing the 7 steps listed on the website right???

DOS no longer does case status. They stopped about 9 months ago.

I need help to make sure I am doing the right thing, I register for Loomis in Montreal and I followed the instructions. It asked me to choose a date and I was thinking it is for picking up my passport and I chose 3 days later. Now I am freaking out, I printed the Appointment confirmation and see below. Did anyone confirm their interview appointments or their spouses interview appointment to make sure it wasn't changed without notice?

Oh goody. I've just told my husband, so he'll be double checking with the Embassy for sure. I swear they do these things on purpose. This immigration journey would be the worst video game ever!

Today I received an e-mail from the embassy- they rescheduled my interview to Aug 26th (it was originally on July 31st)

This is terrible news because I purchased a ticket for Aug 31st :S

If Venezuela was a 'normal' country I would simply change the date of the ticket; however most airlines have left Venezuela and it is almost impossible to buy new tickets at the moment. Only a few airlines still have tickets, but they can only be purchased in US dollars and they cost over 2000$ (In Venezuela there are strict currency exchange controls and it is not too easy to obtain dollars here) . Oh, and they only fly to Miami

I bought the tickets on April, because at that time some tickets were still available and affordable, and I thought that I would have my visa by Aug 31st... And this would have been totally possible if my interview date was on July 31st, as it was originally scheduled..

I replied the e-mail explaining the situation, and mentioning that we originally requested an expedited interview, and it was granted... So what's the point of having an expedite if this is going to happen?

The Venezuelan embassy is not very busy- right now it is a little busier than normal because Diversity Visa Applicants are having their interviews on August... I'm sure that after rescheduling they put me at the end of the line
