Visa APPROVED!!!!!! Everything went well. I was super nervous and my husband was not lol. They allowed me to be with him at all times, except when it was time for the interview I couldn't say anything

Hey guys, I have a question, maybe I am thinking too much. But...there are 2 separate fees to pay? a $230 visa processing fee and then a $165 fee for green card? I am not sure if the Visa processing fee is the IV fee I paid, or a separate fee. Thanks!

OMG, well, I should be celebrating the fact that we got an August 5th interview, however, this date really isn't going to work for us as I'm scheduled for surgery next Friday and I'm not gonna be able to fit my medical in between times so I'm gonna have to call tomorrow and try and reschedule ... sheesh, straight from a high to a low :cry:

Kept coming back to this site...it gives me joy seeing everyone getting their interview dates......the long journey is almost over not just for me but for everyone else....this site kept me company for almost half of my journey @ NVC......my 9 years of waiting will be a thing of the past and im definitely looking at my new future...I was given a second chance!!!

To everyone who made this journey a lil bit lighter,Thank you and congratulations....Good luck everyone :thumbs::)

Let me be a little greedy...can we expedite an interview? If yes, is it through the embassy or NVC....thanks :idea:

To move the interview date is you and the embassy. Once you are assigned and your casefile is at the embassy then you can ask.

GAHH! My PD is before both of yours, my CC was before both of you and my interview is after both of yours. W T F Proof that it's a lottery. :protest:

P.S. I know both of these ladies, so please don't think I'm taking it out on them because they both know I'm not! :)

The $230 was the IV (Immigrant Visa) fee paid at NVC. The $165 will be for the actual production of the green card. two separate things.

You will pay the $165 (its not a visa processing Visa its the Green card processing fee) which they call the Immigrant fee on the ELIS website http://www.uscis.gov/uscis-elis anytime after your interview up to a year you have.
