Wow I got interview letter and its on 8th Aug! We waited 400 days for I-130 approval so this feels a little strange..oh my, finally some mercy on us :)

I have question though, the interview letter address my wife by her unmarried name (father's last name). I am pretty sure we have used her married name in the application. Is that typical? Is it any cause for concern?

Congratulations. I have updated you on spreadsheet.

Case Complete to Interview spreadsheet

From now on your VJ Member name will be verified. If the name you put on form to be added to spreadsheet comes up not found, you will not be added to the spreadsheet. If you don't have a timeline you will not be added to the spreadsheet.

My wife went for the interview today (July 10th) and was approved. She was given the Immigration fee ($165) handout with the A-number on it. They will mail the passports through DHL. It has been an interesting journey from my N-400 to the oath, I-130 through several USCIS field offices to the NVC and the phone calls and wait times, finally to the Consulate.

It takes people like you VJ members to be able to soldier on even when things seem to ground to a halt. People from all walks of life tied to this journey. So my good people I pray that you will also reap the benefits of this tough race a race that is not for the swift but for those who can endure. Keep the faith, so long......

Danced a yard ere I danced abroad

Carpe Diem!

Wow what a busy thread!!!! Congratulations to all the recent scheduled interview dates and to the recent approvals!!!!!!!! :goofy::goofy::goofy:

When did they ask you guys to comeback to pick up your visa?

In Canada we have to organize courier service through Loomis, and the Consulate interviewer in Montreal told me I'd receive it within 1- 1.5 weeks... but I got an email yesterday stating it was en-route, and a phone call today stating I could pick it up already way across the country here in Calgary!! TWO DAYS!!

he cannot create an account, it says that the information doesnt match their record.

he tried few times then called IRS, the person he spoke to tried to go with him through this, step by step. and nothing, same notification.

I've heard of this happening many times here on VJ. It is also said that walking into an IRS office will be the fastest way as you walk out with the tax documents right there.

yayy just received the interview letter.. but question it says FNU in front of beneficiary's name.. Example.. Dear FNU xxxxxxxx

what does that mean????

First name unknown - according to previous posts I've seen here.
