It hardly took an hour(Mumbai consulate) and the feeling is just out of this world !!!

2013: July 20: I-130 sent (Chicago lockbox)

July 24: I-130 NOA1

July 24: I-129F sent (Dallas Lockbox)

Aug 2: I-129F NOA1

Aug 12: Alien Registration Number was changed, I-129F.

2014: Jan 28/29/30: - 3 transfer notices for I-130 and I-129F.

Feb 3 - Hard copy arrived -Notice of transfer to Texas stating Jan 29th.

Feb 10 - NOA2

Feb 27 - email stating I-130 being sent to NVC from TSC.

March 6 -NVC received our case.

April 7 - CASE NUMBER yay! IIN and BIN obtained and email given.

April 9 - DS261 available and filled in online.

April 9 - AOS not yet payable but visible.

April 10 - email regarding NVC case number and access to DS261 received/ email regarding AOS received and paid.

April 11 - AOS sent by snail mail.

April 14 - AOS arrived per mail tracking.

April 15 - IV bill received via email, IV bill paid/ in process, IV package sent.

April 18 - IV bill showing paid/ DS-260 available and done!

- AOS scanned into their system.

April 21 - IV package arrived per mail tracking.

April 24 - IV scanned into their system.

May 2 - False checklist for IV documents= AOS approval.

May 13 - NVC rep reported ? missing Police certificate via my phone call.

- Supervisor review initiated.

May 14 - Checklist for Police certificate came via email.

- Sent checklisted documentation priority post!

May 15 - Package delivered per mail tracking.

May 19 - Case COMPLETE!! Police certificate found by NVC:)

May 28 - Case complete email arrived.

May 30 - Assigned Interview date!

June 2 - Interview letter arrived via email.

June 11- Medical appointment Surrey, BC

July 8 - Interview in Montreal!! APPROVED!!!!!!!! July 10 - Visa package and passport in hand!! July 23 - POE!!

Called the embassy about this mistake (they have my husband's middle name wrong in one part on some page) and they want us to come in today to check to make sure everything is okay. Ugh. Why does the madness never stop!?!?

Not there yet but out of curiosity: Can you make the medical appointment in London as soon as you get an interview date from NVC or do you need to wait for an email or a snail mail?

We got the interview appointment e-mail the date after the appointment was made, my husband made the medical appointment after he received the e-mail. They seem to have a quick turnaround as he only just booked his appointment last week!

As you may read from some UK filers, the medical appointment can actually be done in London without even having a case complete, although this is not recommended! Those medicals have an expiration date and if you end up with a check list or an unforseen delay, you my end up having to do it twice!

Congratulations, I read your review and thank you for posting it. I have a question, it takes 1 to 11/2 weeks to get the visa? Can I pick the visa up at the Consulate? I want as soon as possible to move and I have trip plans for the first week of September. I am hoping for mid August interview. Anyways not to take your joy out, have fun in Montreal, so many activities (Jazz festival) etc and a happy life with your spouse. Again I am happy for you!

I'm surprised this can be done prior to case complete unless case is DCF. I suspect nothing good can come from Knightsbridge sending results to the embassy for a case the embassy has no knowledge of.

I'm the USC petitioner. My wife is British (now a USC!!!), generally awesome, and amazingly patient.

I agree, I think it's a very risky move. I remember about 6 months ago, they wouldn't even schedule the medical without a case complete. I guess that changed as some people have squeaked by. Given the medicals have a quick turnaround, there's really no point in rushing to complete the medical. The Embassy seems very busy anyway, so there's no guarantees that getting the medical done quickly will guarantee being able to get an earlier interview.

Happy Tuesday you all..I hope they schedule some interviews today atleast, I have never seen such a long time lapse between CC and interview scheduling for anyone in this forum...(12 days) God knows what's taking them so long :cry:

Also, for those of you how know about my rant yesterday, I'll post an update later!

12 days to schedule an interview?!?!? Gosh! That's nothing. Egyptian embassy is taking 7-12 MONTHS to schedule an interview. Best of luck to all!
