He had his interview today at 8am, he got there at 7:20, make sure you bring the DS 260 confirmation page in addition to everything else. He got his number, and they called him to the first window within 15mins. At the first window, the teller went through all of his file that the NVC sent. After the teller completed this, he told my husband to wait to be called again for the second window/interview. 10mins later they called his number again, this time the officer asked my husband questions regarding out marriage, what my occupation was and his occupation, asked about our child, and then the officer made my husband take an oath, and then he told my husband he was approved. Overall, it was a smooth process. We are now just waiting in his passport and sealed packet to arrive in the courier service, as soon as it arrives, we r booking his flight.

Thank you very much for the reminder!!!!!

I completely forgot about the DS260 confirmation. I sent an updated affidavit of support package (with 2013 taxes), a change of address memo and I sent a copy of the DS260 to my wife but I forgot about teh DS260 confirmation, at least I forgot that I sent it with the package.

I just called now and double checked everything. The DS260 confirmation page was with the DS260, but I remember told her that she does not need to give them that.

Now I made sure that she will give them that.

Thanks again. phew, what a scare!!!!!!!

I am currently so pissed off with the NVC!!!! I called them today to check for my husband's file and they haven't scheduled an interview yet (CC june 26th)....which is okay, I am not going to be very dramatic about it!! BUT I have two more cases....for my mom and my dad and they were all proceeding according to the same timeframe!! NOW they tell me after I call them that they are missing "my original marriage certificate" for my mom's file....and my mom's and dad's original marriage certificate with my dad's file and MY birth certificate with my dad's file!! When I was getting ready to send things out...I called them atleast 4 times and made sure how do I go about sending "originals" for 3 cases....because it's not possible to have 3 ORIGINALS and that's common sense. They said ..."Don't worry , just put in a letter stating that see related cases for the documents where there can be only one original and just the write the case number" !! I did excatly the same...and now this lady tells me that they have al these documents missing. Even if they send me a checklist, I won't be able to do much except repeat what I have alreday done in the first place....This is soooooooooo freaking unfair!! I have 10,000 probs of my own and I can't deal with this everyday...I am so tired and pissed off seriously...I can't even be happy anymore about my husband's case being completed...feel so awful...I know posting here is not going to help me but I had to rant about it !!I am sooooooooooo sad and angry now...

This is what you do. Get back on the phone to NVC and ask to talk to a supervisor and ask that they case complete your parents file to go along with your husbands and you will have new originals at interview to present. You will follow up with an email.

You will only have to get one copy and prayfully you will get supervisor Gus.

They didn't lose it but 3 cases and one copy (they are noodle heads). Okay call report back.

Also after you talk to them follow up with an email subject line case#'s Beneficiary's names-subject Unobtainable documents. I know, I know but this is the secret tip told to me by my secret angel at NVC. I didn't have to send in nothing but a marriage certificate and the DS-230 (this was in 2012). Of course I was at NVC for 8 months but still.

**FYI: Rant away that's what we are here for. This is n;t always all sunshine and marshmallows. You are amongst people who can relate and feel your pain on one level or another.

Since you got approved on the spot, this is irrelevant now.

We need to wean you from visa journey anxieties. Soon, you'll have none to look forward to. ;)

 Glad to hear it won't be a problem. I can't wait for my husband to get a US passport and be done with them FOREVER!!!!

Thank you very much for the reminder!!!!!

I completely forgot about the DS260 confirmation.

I (well my husband...) was also asked for DS260 confirmation page during interview. I didn't think we needed it, I just happened to come across it and shoved it into my folders for a just in case. Good thing!

Okay another scare!! :o

We went to pick up my husband's passport with visa and the giant visa packet. I got home and noticed that on the page that says "Immigrant Data Summary" my husband's middle name is wrong on one section where it says "Other Travel Document Info: Issued to: (name with wrong middle name)". Not misspelled, but a completely different name. Everywhere else on the paper it's fine and the visa itself is fine.

I'm going to call the embassy tomorrow to ask about this, but in the mean time- any insight? Will this cause a problem? Can I go ahead and pay the GC fee online? Or wait to see if this needs to be cleared up?
