Same here. We had the same interview date as you guys and today was the last day for the Visa to be issued for hubby to fly back home with me. And I've already paid to change my ticket to Monday. I can't change it again as my in laws will be there Tuesday. They will be there to enjoy some time with their son in his new home and habitat before they see him for awhile. Except he actually won't be there. It's kind of funny actually.

I think I'm going to hide until he comes. What the heck am I supposed to tell family and friends now when they ask where he is? It's not like they've understood anything else that went on with this process.

Ugh, I couldn't agree more.

If one more person tells me to "be positive" and "it will probably only be a few more days" I will probably cry. They know nothing about the idiosyncrasies of this process...

I haven't changed his tickets yet, i have until Saturday but if we don't hear anything before then, I will just cancel, receive credit and re-cancel (if they let me, website says they "might"...typical).

And same situation as you, we have family flying in on Saturday to spend time with my husband and he won't be there either. Haha! Guess they'll have to settle for me! :dancing:

Are you serious?!

WDF!!!! This can't happening at THIS stage!!! After all the torture , they are stealing away those little happy moments from us...my husband's interview is on the 14th...I hope they don't mess it up...I'll go crazy if this happens.. :ranting:

Congrats!!

And while I'm very pleased for you that you've gotten your interview date, this is a perfect example of how the NVC doesn't particularly make sense. You got your case complete on the 28th July then two days later recieved an Interview date of 15th September whereas my case was completed on 11th July and after waiting 19 days I've just found out my interview date is 23rd September.

I'm obviously happy to have finally gotten an interview date but why are other cases that completed after mine being interviewed before mine? Luck of the draw?

jsumner86, you mention you're going to try to get your date moved forward. Is this an easy thing to acheive as I've read elsewhere that if you request your date to be moved you could potentially be setting yourself up for even more delays? I'd love to get mine moved forward too. What is the best way to go about this?

This "line" that the NVC talks about is utter #######... I am CC 15th July, I am on hold now to see IF i even have a date...

You mean they schedule by girth? Great! I should "squeeze" in an early date when the time comes.

Thank you for the LOL. I really needed that!

Thanks, that's useful info. I will definitely get on to scheduling my medical ASAP.

Can I just ask exactly HOW is the best way to request an earlier interview? Emailing the embassy? Phoning them? I see you succeed in doing this. How did you contact them?

E-mailing the Embassy is the best way. k.dlg sent you the form I see, so you're all set! Get that medical done! :-)

Hey okay just to make everyone feel better about their situation I have to pull out the big guns and point this all at me. (yes its about me now. LOL) :luv:

See 15 months on April 12th, 2013 3 days before my husbands interview my life change because I found out he married someone else on April 1. Yepper. End of my journey to be sure.

Well I got my CEAC update that the Petition has been cancelled as of July 20th ( can you believe its been sitting there all this time ).

"Section 203(g) of the Immigration and Nationality Act requires that your registration be canceled and any petition approved on your behalf canceled, if you do not apply for your immigrant visa within one year of being advised to do so.

You were advised of this requirement over 1 year ago, but we have not received a response from you since then. As a result, your application for a visa has been canceled and any petition approved on your behalf has also been canceled.

Your application may be reinstated and any petition revalidated if, within one year, you can establish that your failure to pursue your immigrant visa application was due to circumstances beyond your control. Please provide a written statement to the Embassy or Consulate outlining the circumstances beyond your control and noting that you still wish to pursue this visa petition.
"

Anywho, needless to say my journey has been over 15 months, but I am still here making sure all of you make it to your destination with your love ones and families.

I say all this not to get pity but to show each of you that at least you have something to look forward to no matter the delay. I know, I know someone saying to you "at least its just a year or 2 out of your life when have a lifetime together".

But you know in the grand scheme of things it really is just a temporary delay for a lifetime of joy happiness and unexpected twist and turns. But guess what, you get to do it with the desire of your heart the love of your life. If that doesn't warm your heart and make you say "let the system be damn, soon I will be with my baby". Then well I can't help you.

I want to congratulate all the new interviews flowing in and I know there will be more this week. Case Completes, Welcome to the group and Visa approvals wooo whoooo.

You are all in my thoughts and prayers and I will be here as long as the Good Lord says to keep a light on so people can get to their real journey of life and love. (L)

**Special Note: Now I by no means am saying venting, crying screaming complaining or even whining at this time isn't warranted. That's what this thread is for the Good, The Bad and the oh so Ugly...dare I say DOS. :ranting: :ranting: :protest:

Come on now. This is the government now. (Goodness had to break the mood I see tears. Don't cry for me Argentina. :goofy: hehe (L)

The interview date of my mom is 09/04.

The original completed case date of my Mom is 05/29. After that they updated to 06/17 and they updated back to 05/29 after I called but I still missed the August schedule.

Thank you all for all of the information and your helps.
