Yesterday was:

"As of July 27, the Department of State has made continued progress on restoring our system to full functionality. As we restore our ability to print visas, we are prioritizing immigrant cases, including adoptions visas. System engineers are performing maintenance to address the problems we encountered. As system performance improves, we will continue to process visas at U.S. Embassies and Consulates worldwide. We are committed to resolving the problem as soon as possible. Additional updates will be posted to travel.state.gov as more information becomes available" same source

They've made another post since then:

The Department of State Bureau of Consular Affairs continues to make progress restoring our nonimmigrant visa system to full functionality. Over the weekend, the Department of State implemented system changes aimed at optimizing performance and addressing the challenges we have faced. We are now testing our system capacity to ensure stability. Processing of immigrant visas cases, including adoptions, remains a high priority. Some Embassies and Consulates may temporarily limit or reschedule nonimmigrant visa interview appointments until more system resources become available to process these new applications. We sincerely regret the inconvenience to travelers, and are committed to resolving the problem as soon as possible. Additional updates will be posted to travel.state.gov as more information becomes available.

START CALLING! One of my friends got a September interview :-)

Well how long does it take them to send out the email once they have scheduled the interview? I DREAD talking to those bleep bleeps at NVC. But I am so anxious to know if I have an interview yet!!!!

IR1/CR1 Visa - We are using a lawyer!

Embassy: Montreal, Canada

USCIS

22 Jan 2013 -- packageSent
31 Jan 2013 -- NOA1 from NBC

6 Mar 2013 -- I130 transferred to Orlando local field office (which started the whole nightmare)

Mar 2013 to October 2013 no one would tell us where our case was or what was happening. I suspected the whole time it was just sitting in a corner somewhere in the Orlando field office. I was pretty much right.

October 2013 - get congressman involved. Congressman asks USCIS repeatedly about our case but they won't even tell them anything.

31 Jan 2014- finally get NOA2!!!! (we think the nightmare is over!)

NVC

Our case was not sent from the Orlando field office as it should have been. The nightmare continues. We kept calling NVC and asking if they received our case, and they always said "NO" and that we had to wait 90 business days for it to be received. We called USCIS during this time and they kept telling us it had been sent. After the 90 days of agonizing frustration, NVC then started telling us we had to wait 120 business days. I got our congressman involved again, and they told the congressman it was sitting at the Orlando office this whole time (just as I thought it was!).

22 Apr 2014 -- NVC received
16 May 2014 -- NVC case number assigned
24 May 2014 -- AoS and IV bills paid

28 May 2014 -- Sent AoS and IV Packages

6 June 2014 -- documents scanned

18 July 2014 -- false checklist from NVC

21 July 2014 -- Case complete

28 July 2014 -- receive case complete email from NV

30 July 2014 -- interview booked! September 11 here I come!

Embassy
04 Sept 2014 -- Medical
11 Sept 2014 -- Interview - APPROVED!!!!
15 Sept 2014 -- Package arrived at Loomis location!!!

**03 Oct 2014 -- POE!! **

I NOW LIVE IN OCALA, FL!!!!

Think of it this way, it will be your very last phone call to them!

The e-mail can take between 1-5 days, I think.

Hi! I haven't been on this page much but was wondering…is there a place where people post their experience on the interview day? who was their supervisor…kinda questions asked? etc..like how we have a per month NVC and interview date link...

I feel like there is one but i apparently cannot find it.

Since moving your appointment was their error, the should expedite the processing of your visa!

I'm glad you were able to get it moved up, even just a few days :protest:

I was trying to stay optimistic but I can't anymore. I am utterly sad, our status is still at this stupid "ready" and was updated 2 days ago, nothing changed today. I am just stupidly waiting all alone for this visa. It's been one year and 3 months, I am fed up of this. Last night I hurt my toe, it was bleeding and because usually my husband takes care of these things (I'm passing out too easily when I see blood), I cried like a little girl. Being far from him sucks, being stuck away from him because of backlogs and glitches is not fair.

I'll send an email to the embassy tonight, I want to know at least if they are able to issue some visas or none at all. This waiting is depressing. When I go to sleep my husband is still at work so I can't hear his voice. When I wake up he is asleep and I can't hear him telling me "bonjour". I am just disgusted by the whole process. Thanks for letting me vent. And thanks for your updates, I feel less alone when I read the posts on this forum.

I just read this to my husband. Hang in there. Eventually we'll get this Visas... Eventually.

Go to the individual's time line and scroll to the bottom :-) Or subscribe to the Embassy reviews for your country on this site and you'll get e-mails when someone types up a review!

I hope yours is issued soon! I remember last week someone got their visa and the visa status site still showed it was in AP. Let's hope the computer is lying to you and it's issued very soon!

That would be great. Ours was touched on July 29th (Tuesday in Australia) and changed to AP.

Hopefully this means they are going to change it to "Issued" soon. Our tracking for the package is still showing as not sent yet, but some people said their Express Post package was never shown as "sent" and then it all of a sudden arrived on their doorstep.

And other's CEAC status was still shown as "Ready" and then their visa was issued and sent. And it never changed.

So, as usual, I am not sure what to believe!

In a dream world, it would be issued tomorrow.

Anyone else from Sydney Consulate waiting for their visa? Anyone??!
