It's a slow day at work and I just went through the interview spreadsheet. It looks like everyone beyond July 18 interviews are still waiting for visas (I stalked some time lines and profiles) :reading:

5/21/2016: Mailed I-751 packet to CSC

5/23/2016: NOA1

7/29/2016: Biometrics Appointment

11/22/2016: I-751 Approved!

Hi! I haven't been on this page much but was wondering…is there a place where people post their experience on the interview day? who was their supervisor…kinda questions asked? etc..like how we have a per month NVC and interview date link...

I feel like there is one but i apparently cannot find it.

Thanks for the info, I feel like we are SO unlucky. One week before and we would have been fine :clock:

Sooo .. on the embassy website I read the following:

"On the day of your interview, a set of your fingerprints will be electronically scanned. If you have a cut or blister on any of your fingers or thumbs, your application will not be processed. You will be required to reschedule an appointment for a later date."

Apparently hubby got a tiny scratch on one of his fingers today while doing yard work so now we're hoping it's healed by Monday. Take care of your fingers!!!

My husband is missing his entire thumb print on his left thumb due to an accident. The skin had to be grafted so he literally has no print and the lady at his interview made a joke about it but did not say there would be any problems.

So, no worries people! Your fingers are safe! :dancing:

Good morning. Anyone still waiting for Visas? I keep checking CEAC but nothing changes. If they don't send my husband's Visa by tomorrow, we'll be separated once again. Story of my life....

"Trying to keep postive"

I was trying to stay optimistic but I can't anymore. I am utterly sad, our status is still at this stupid "ready" and was updated 2 days ago, nothing changed today. I am just stupidly waiting all alone for this visa. It's been one year and 3 months, I am fed up of this. Last night I hurt my toe, it was bleeding and because usually my husband takes care of these things (I'm passing out too easily when I see blood), I cried like a little girl. Being far from him sucks, being stuck away from him because of backlogs and glitches is not fair.

I'll send an email to the embassy tonight, I want to know at least if they are able to issue some visas or none at all. This waiting is depressing. When I go to sleep my husband is still at work so I can't hear his voice. When I wake up he is asleep and I can't hear him telling me "bonjour". I am just disgusted by the whole process. Thanks for letting me vent. And thanks for your updates, I feel less alone when I read the posts on this forum.

He is a US citizen, lived in the UK, now moved back to the US. I am French, we met in 2010 in the UK and got married in March 2013 in France.

I am afraid with these computer Visa issues they may not schedule anything until they can at least finish what they started (which makes sense).

But lets see. Maybe they will wait a few days and see if this mess clears up.

What the hell is wrong with government computers. I think they need Dwheels- QA Software Queen to the rescue. My goodness.

What you say makes too much sense, which means that's not what they'll do

Yes, I think all interviews should go through you, we'll bring you a nice cooked meal and chat about our marriages, take our visa on the way out and drive off into the sunset!!

"The Department of State Bureau of Consular Affairs continues to make progress restoring our nonimmigrant visa system to full functionality. Over the weekend, the Department of State implemented system changes aimed at optimizing performance and addressing the challenges we have faced. We are now testing our system capacity to ensure stability. Processing of immigrant visas cases, including adoptions, remains a high priority. Some Embassies and Consulates may temporarily limit or reschedule nonimmigrant visa interview appointments until more system resources become available to process these new applications. We sincerely regret the inconvenience to travelers, and are committed to resolving the problem as soon as possible. Additional updates will be posted to travel.state.gov as more information becomes available." source: http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english.html

im concerned with the email that people with K1 got

if they want to give back the passports it means the the problem is serious and will take longer to solve this

Correct me if I'm wrong, but my understanding is that the K1s are grouped into the "Nonimmigrant Visas", so they are affected more by this recent development since they're prioritizing Immigrant Visa interviews and issuance. :)

Yesterday was:

"As of July 27, the Department of State has made continued progress on restoring our system to full functionality. As we restore our ability to print visas, we are prioritizing immigrant cases, including adoptions visas. System engineers are performing maintenance to address the problems we encountered. As system performance improves, we will continue to process visas at U.S. Embassies and Consulates worldwide. We are committed to resolving the problem as soon as possible. Additional updates will be posted to travel.state.gov as more information becomes available" same source
