Visa APPROVED!!!!!! Everything went well. I was super nervous and my husband was not lol. They allowed me to be with him at all times, except when it was time for the interview I couldn't say anything

We have the same interview date, mine was in Sydney.

I already bought my husbands tickets (I know, I know...) because EVERYONE was getting their visas back in hand in ONE or TWO days so I bought his for 12 days later thinking we'd be more than safe...

My CEAC site still says Administrative Processing.

A couple from my hometown in China has their interview (for an adoption) on July 15th and they received their visa and are flying back to Florida tonight. I don't know what this means because it is China and maybe they are expediting adoptions but at least we are seeing SOMEONE enter the country on an immigrant visa...

Mine hasn't even changed to Administrative Processing yet. The word "Ready" is not fun anymore lol. They at least changed the date and it seems like they tried to access our info today.

I will keep everyone posted here, especially since this is a worldwide issue. I almost bought my hubby's ticket without the Visa as well because I was excited and it was cheaper. So don't feel bad. This isn't a normal situation for anyone.

Our date is July 29th which means they accessed it today, right? I wonder what that means? Maybe they just changed it to Administrative Processing and will change it to Approved soon?

Has anyone else had Administrative Processing for longer than a few days?

Does anyone know if the glitch is affecting the Sydney Consulate?

I am almost positive it is because we had our interview on July 22nd and we were approved and everyone else got their visas and passports back within 1-2 days and we are one week from interview and status just changed to Administrative Processing today (July 29).

Not sure when they will actually issue now.

It's affecting all US embassies yes. Some more than others.

I requested an expedite and they got back to me in like 3 days saying they are looking into it. the operators do see the expedite request in their system but they will just say "wait for the response" which will come via email. hope that helps

Sooo .. on the embassy website I read the following:

"On the day of your interview, a set of your fingerprints will be electronically scanned. If you have a cut or blister on any of your fingers or thumbs, your application will not be processed. You will be required to reschedule an appointment for a later date."

Apparently hubby got a tiny scratch on one of his fingers today while doing yard work so now we're hoping it's healed by Monday. Take care of your fingers!!!
