Hi bdrew612 is it ok if I ask where did u get info that the philippine don't have issue about it? I was in 2 Philippines group and so far there's only one person's post waiting for their visa for more than a week now, She got interview before this issue happened and I've never seen somebody got their visa from last week interview. Its been a week since this is happened so right now we can't see if who will really get affected by it.

Here it is, it's a K-1 (so if they're getting visas, then IR-1/CR-1s should definitely be getting their visas). I don't know if this is the same person you're referring to:

There's been a couple posts here from K-1's. It looks like they got pushed to the back of the line. Quote from a K-1 person: (member from Brazil and Germany received this e-mail.

"Dear Applicant,

The Department of State Bureau of Consular Affairs is currently experiencing technical problems with our visa system which are affecting operations globally. We recognize that this may cause inconvenience to travelers, and apologize for the delay.

Although we have completed adjudication of your visa application, we are unable to take final action on the visa at this time. We hope to have our system fully operational again soon, but currently we do not have a timeline for when this may happen. If you have travel planned in the near future, we would suggest adjusting your travel arrangements accordingly.

Again, we recognize and regret the inconvenience this may cause. If you would like your passport returned to you (without the visa) please let us know and we will return it for later issuance.

We appreciate your patience as we work to resolve this matter."

Way to investigate. I did see where immigration visa was priority one. Thats good. But lets get some scheduling done now.

Her status on ceac say issued but she didn't have her visa yet, anyway thanks for this

I will follow her timeline and see if when she will got her passport back

I sent everything to NVC and then they asked for everything again at the interview. My organized binder helped my find everything in a snap.

No it can't affect on your interview. This will delay your visa/ passport but they already said that they are prioritizing the immigrant visa.

Everyone who is going through an embassy can be affected. Lets hope within the next 7 days they get it all fixed.

It almost makes you wonder if it's rigged, what with the USCIS backlog, NVC backlog and now this all hitting the same set of applicants. Really is quite bad luck on all of our part....

For us poor souls waiting for an interview date (I feel like we need a new thread for this waiting), my husband just phoned NVC, they stated they are only scheduling interviews for September in the second week of August.

You are stressing yourself out! Look at dwheels' spreadsheet. Interviews almost always begin scheduling the last few days of the month and from what I've observed it usually starts on Tuesday. You're in queue for a September interview (assuming South Africa isn't like Egypt where it takes 4-6 months to get an interview), just try to remember to breathe!

Don't worry about them thats their pat answer for interview "they are scheduled the 2nd week of the month". Look at the spreadsheet you know that not to be true.

I know my feat is small in comparison to all of ya'lls.. but i'm applying for passport this week hopefully that will not be an issue!!! My mom was lucky that her visa was printed on the 17th so she escaped the "glitch". I'm praying for you all though!!!

From what I've gathered on the DoS' Facebook posts, it's visa processing that's delayed now, with immigrant visas getting priority. I think originally all systems were affected, but maybe passport generation is back up and running? I think? This comment is just a big ole ramble now
