Long as you can change the ticket without too much of a monetary penalty. I know it cost so much to buy at last minute but the way these embassies are so unreliable and you never know what will happen. I am sorry but the Visa in hand is my motto.

I mean medical report envelope is very large. How I can bring it for interview. There is also another documents bring. How will I bring it ? It should be a,straight also as it is containing x-ray. How will I bring it? I do not know. Should I need a large file for it?

You just bring it. The sealed medical is what is required. Being undamaged to your interview. How ever best to transport that protect it with your life.

So apparently you got check-listed for the I-864EZ then you will need to do a new one and pay attention for the part 19 of the form because that was the mistake.

Second:

1 - IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION PART 1 R And 1 - IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION PART 2 R is the DS-260, you will have to print the bar-coded sheet that says you filled it (you may print it all if you wish). https://ceac.state.gov/IV/Login.aspx

3 - BIRTH CERTIFICATE A and 5 - MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE A it doesn't matter if you already send it to them, you'll need to have an original or a certified copy at the interview.

And the police certificates or military certificates are very important.

How come it shows as A (obtain and produce at interview) instead of O (Already verified at NVC and submitted to embassy) against Birth certificate and marriage certificate, as I have already submitted originals to NVC. Does it mean they have lost it or something?

I just had 1 original for both of them which was couriered to them. Now I am just left with photocopies of both of them.

Anything that I should be doing from my end? Please guide.

"UPDATE: Our visa and passport processing systems are now operational, however they are working at limited capacity. We are still working to correct the problem and expect to be fully operational soon."

I'm sure it's not up at 100% and that they are working to clear the backlog that has built up, but I haven't seen anything to say that delays are growing or are expected to continue long term.

Interesting. I got digital Xray on a cd. The doctor told me that i don't need to bring the Xray and the blood test result to the interview, only the sealed envelope with forms that she filled.

I should have them in my cabin luggage while traveling cause immigration officer might ask for it.

Yes some countries they get the cool CD and others that HUGE x-ray.

rajvinder kaur: the x-ray leave with your luggage. No one will take it but take it on your carry on for POE (why who knows no one wants it I think they just want to know you have it).

You need the sealed envelope for your interview.. That should not be anything big or bulky. That you need.

So does anyone foresee this backlog affecting visa issuance in the months of August and September? I'm wondering if it will mean my wife won't get her visa for more than a week after the interview. Anyone know about it?

It is currently affecting me and my husband. His interview was Tuesday and according to CEAC, they are still ready for his interview. No AP or Issued Visa yet. If this hadn't happened, probably by Tueaday we would have had the Visa. So much depends on getting this Visa ASAP and here we are left in limbo.

Ugh... This sucks. This waiting is probably the hardest out of all the waiting we have done. Probably because we are so close.

Good question!

But that is the main reason why you should Always get copies of everything you send to them.

But at interview they asked me for it again, Even though I also provided them on different occasions during this process.
