So...I emailed the consulate and they said they have no earlier interview date they can give me :( Should I try emailing them again in a week? Maybe soething will open up...just maybe 1% chance...lol

Yes, I would suggest trying again, and again, maybe every couple of days. When they told me to go on ustraveldocs.com and select the new, earlier interview date they gave me, I saw there were other interview dates/times available that were even earlier than the new one they had assigned! But I couldn't choose one of them because I had already purchased the plane tickets. So keep trying, and also take a look on ustraveldocs.com, you might find something that works better for you.

Because its not interview scheduling time. Just hang on next week it should start up. Interview scheduling is all about timing and when you get case complete. You want an interview get case complete by 20th or so of month. You only have a week to wait and see if you get popped in there.

Just seems that some lucky people get interviews all month long and not at month end/beginning or whenever their scheduling is.

But thank you for the reply! Sometimes just need someone to remind it's all ok and hang on!

My husband is completely over (me) my anxiety at the moment. Which in itself is creating more anxiety. Feel like someone pushed Pause on my life!

Welcome and Congratulations.Yes August is gone but if you get September you can always request from Embassy an earlier time slot. Sometimes they will change. I added you to spreadsheet

Thank you Dwheels. Yes, we will request earlier date, but i know SOF is overloaded, anyway we will try:)

Just checked CEAC, not expecting much of it and... Visa ISSUED (date status changed 7-23)!!!!

I think I can buy the ticket now :)

Just make sure you allow enough time for the passport to be returned to you! Or wait until you have it in hand to be even more safe. Congratulations!

VISA APPROVED!

It took 2 hours, everyone was friendly. I got really worried when they told me I might have to come back in a week because there was a computer system problem and that they couldn't access my ds260... right before she was going to give up, it got unlocked!

I'll write a review of the embassy.

PS: when the PO told me congrats and that we were approved, I just left. I had nothing to sign before leaving right? I got so surprised the interview itself took only 3 minutes I was confused and just left without asking...

Don't worry, you did not need to do anything. And CONGRATS!

I am checking with all of the people on this post who have had their interviews but are now waiting to get their passport back with the immigrant visa.

(...)

As of now, my CEAC case status still shows "ready", so I got worried.

(...)

Therefore they are building a backlog and the usual 7 day delay between interview and reception of the passport is now lengthening to 2 weeks. Has anyone else experienced this delay?

Once again, CONGRATS!

About the Visa, I believe above all I got lucky, as my visa was issued the 18th and mailed the 22nd arriving today.

Before all this computer problems started http://bigstory.ap.org/article/glitch-crashes-global-us-passport-visa-operations

But there is one thing, because they made us take off the sponge protection of the return envelope, the brown envelope that we are not suppose to open it is torn, kind of badly.

Is that going to be a problem?

Plus, my husband just change his address, rented a new home for us, how do we communicate that: send e-mail to uscis? At the POE?

Thank you! In theory, there should be plenty of time. But I'm becoming convinced of waiting until having it in hand. My husband thinks it's better wait, so does my very pragmatic sister. Besides there's this whole glitch thing at the consulate, and our not so reliable postal service.

I read that Facebook comment to mean interviews that were cancelled that day would need to be re-scheduled. I can't see every Embassy in the world cancelling all interviews until the glitch is fixed. As we've seen on this thread, that hasn't happened.

mine is still in transit status even though the our package was received on July 21st (3days ago)
