I'm finding it really hard not to come to Visa Journey every couple of hours and stalk the forums, process times, and timelines. I'm trying to come maybe every other week, but it's like sitting on your hands so that you don't do something you know you shouldn't. I even make it my mission not to look at anything associated with CSC. Is anyone else having that problem?

You pretty much described a day in the life of most TSC filers. It is a very painful feeling. Finding VJ was like opening Pandora's box, I personally just COULD NOT KEEP AWAY from here. With time you'll check these things less and less because you'll realize that nothing changes all that much. Try to check Igor's List only in the mornings since most approvals seem to happen late in the evening. If a fast approval on the TSC Igor's list is too good to be true, it probably so and don't check their timeline. VJ processing times don't change throughout the day so only check those in the morning too, though they're not entirely accurate anyway. And for the love of all that is holy, try to stay away from the CSC threads, or any thread that hints of a fast approval in the topic title.

Well no ish sherlock! I'd like to keep track of times of other people's timelines so I can schedule my vacation days around the approval and visa hand off so I can be home to help my fiance adjust for a few days.

I didn't think it was necessary. I assumed that other people have the same issue as me: you know deep down nothing has changed, but you keep looking anyway.

I'm a little over 2 months into the process & I miss my Matt like crazy. I do the same thing. You're not alone. I want other people to get approved so mine comes quicker

Alicia98981...I understand what you are saying... especially before we got our NOA2... What I did to keep myself busy so I did not stalk online all the time was I kept going through all the papers I would need for the next step of the process so when the time came.. I was ready. And I read.. and read, and read some more.. trying to find everything about Casablanca experiences! (they are one tough consulate!) I still *try* to not stalk processing times. It is frustrating! Hopefully it will go fast for you! Good luck!

I was obsessed with Igor's list, and it was.,.,.,..,VERY accurate on my situation, getting my wife here! But, I was way "overboard" on it,.,.,.,.,.,please do not go there.,.,YOU have a very long way to go.,.,,and figuring vacation, and other times this early,.,.is well..,not rational, as I was sure I was going to Cebu, Philippines in Jan. 2013, only to find out a week before I left South Carolina, that she would be delayed almost 3 months, due to Philippine physicals,.,.,.,.What a shock!

Plan nothing, do nothing until, You and yours have a "visa in hand".,.,.,.

This is not going to be short, and IT will not be easy, pace yourself, and pray for no "rfe!" If your loved one is here by next March..,.,it is too be expected! Or longer.,.,., just the facts.,.,..,In my opinion!

if you find it hard to wait with it being less than a month since you got your NOA-1... what will happen to you after 5 months? Of course, I hope it won't be that much for you, but reality is that you should have a HUGE amount of patience in store. Hang in there!

I am having a really difficult time with this. I also have a few friends {personally}, that filed for their husbands after I did and they already have their NOA-2. I am happy for them but it just doesn't seem like justice to me. I would say fair but we know this life isn't.

In most areas in life, comparing yourself to other people is the road to masochistic misery. I'm glad I didn't find Visa Journey until after I'd receive my NOA2. That said, I still had the agony of waiting for an interview date. Though my process was longer than my fellow cohorts, it's approximately on par with those who filed last year at the shorter end of the scale.

I think it's useful to come on here if you need help in figuring out how to do something and your process is moving fairly swiftly. If your process is one of the slower ones, it can make you feel even worse when you see multiple threads of newbies sharing their "good news" about their super duper mega ultra fast process of receiving an NOA1 in a day and an NOA2 in a week. Plus a fortnight until their interview date and the entire process from filing to visa in hand is completed in one month. I kid. But I'm sure it can feel like that for those who are waiting.
