ken....looks like things are moving fast for you as they did for us, stay ahead of the game, if you haven't already, download packet 3 instructions from the embassy site, get your financials prepared to send over to her. Any questions, feel free to ask, if I cant answer there are many knowledgable and helpful people here. The wife left for Thailand last night, I cant leave until early January...good luck....

Thanks, Am jealous that you live near all the Thai markets in the city. I have all the financials done and am leaving for Thai on Turkey day, will just hand carry them. I am glad it worked out this way, would have been a little worried sending so much financial info through the mail.

Right now a little confused on the Packet 3, do they require the filling of DS-230, DS-156, DS-156K and DS-157 still? Hmmm, just found newer instructions that only list the DS-160, form is dated Oct 2104, will use this info, the other packet 3 instructions were from 2009. Wonder why both are still on their website?

Do you think I will be able to complete the rest of the steps from Thai? I do have a very dependable person who will be checking my postal mail and emailing me copies of any forms, etc that come to the USA adress.

I can't edit my former post so...

I think most of the ds form are now replaced by the online ds 160, but not the ds 230. I think the ds 230 is the ready to interview form...

If you have all your financial documents for sponsorship you should be good to go!

Ken...take photos of this trip, family photo`s important to submit at the interview, my wife took phone records, text records...etc...they would not accept but they DID take the photo album, the CO went thru all of them and asked questions about them.

Interesting the didnt want to see your text records. Spent many hours finding them and printing a bunch, oh well who knows what the embassey will want to see for us. Photos, serious no problem dude, earlier in my life worked as a professional photogrpher for 10-11 years. It is still my favorite hobby and have more than a TB of photos from thai over the 9 years of comming here. All of my trips to thai were for 4 months, maybe 10,000 plus of photos showing both of us together. Yim herself has become quite a photo bug to and has 1000's of her own. Brought my hard drive of photos with me to Thai this year, the hardest part is going through so many images. If they want photos, we will bury them in photos.

Hi Steve, remember me? Things are going good still. I left the job in Ill. in June and came back to FL. Working here after some time off. We filed AOS, 131 and EAD around the middle of June. She has her dual EAD/AP card, we are just waiting for the Green card now. We received a letter back around Sept. saying likely no interview but the case was delayed due to no reason. It said we should hear by Oct. 5. Came and went, called and now it's out like 3 more months they said when I called but they really did not know. Any idea what others are getting ? I think a guy (Man and Woman here on VJ) sent in about a month before me and she got her green card 2 days ago. Hope all is well up there, ever in Tampa stop by. My wife has met three wonderful Thai friends and there a really nice Temple in East Tampa. - Tango

Yes Karee, that's it. Right on a lovely river, very nice. You can buy Thai garden veggies, food, the Temple is nice.
