Mulch is my all time favorite brown! My usual eyeshadow is...Carbon on the lower eyelid (outer) and crease (not too heavy), Honesty on the inner lower eyelid, Phloof on my upper eye, Mulch as an undereye liner, Carbon (wet) as an eyeliner. It's very smoky and cool.

I love going into Sephora but don't buy a lot there as it's pricey. But it's fun just going in once in awhile and trying on different make up.

AFCECF29.jpgAt Christmas time I got a roll-on eau de parfum there by Stella McCartney for $10 and I LOVE it. It's light smelling and the roll-on is great. Usually perfumes give me a headache and I hate most of them. But I am happy I found a perfume that doesn't make me feel sick.

Also I love the Eau Des 4 Reines (four roses scent) scent from L'Occitane, which is also very light and doesn't make me sick. I get the $15 eau de toilette and it lasts me awhile.

I don't use much MAC anymore because I don't like how the eyeshadows pigment is not really as bright as it looks in the dish. I have been disappointed by many colors that look bright and as soon as you apply it, it looks gray. My favorite eyeshadow these days is an Urban Decay set I got at Sephora over a year ago as a bday present from Sujeet (of course I had to pick it out :P ).

But even though I love make up, and brands that I can't really afford, I don't wear a lot of makeup usually and my eye shadows last for years. So I don't need any new make up for awhile.

I also love burt's bees chap stick and wear it every day.

You are the first person that has said that to about MAC, well the first person I have heard say it. The reason I do buy MAC is because I think they have really great pigmint, a little goes a longggggg way. I have found that certain browns do look grey on me, it took some time til I found the right brown at MAC. My favorite brown is Mulch, its a shimmery brown and I use it with a cream based color called Naked Lunch. Its one of my favorite combos.

However if you are shopping for MAC, what I find is the best thing to do is to make an appointment to have your make up done with them. In our area they make you buy a $50 giftcard in order to get your make up done and then you can buy the products you like with the card which is usually not a problem for me since I drop about $100 everytime I stop by.

I know Mulch...my mom or sister has that. :) When you use the cream base, it does help a lot. But I guess I am too lazy to do a lot of steps. :P What I still like from MAC is lipglass, though it can get a bit goopy feeling.

The reason I like Sephora so much is that instead of only one brand, it has so many different brands and so many variations of colors. MAC was my favorite until I went into my first Sephora a couple years ago. It was an enlightenment, the next level of makeup obsession. :D But like I said, I don't buy a lot of stuff from Sephora or MAC because of the prices, but once in awhile I get to pick out a treat! I like trying on all the make up in Sephora.

OMG, I use Carbon too!!!!!! I use it dry though, I will have to try it wet. If you want a nice deep brown liner which is my new thing try Embark.

I use brush #208 (small angled brow brush) and apply it like a liquid liner. It works great! They came out with a newer creme eyeliner last year but I didn't care for it. Wet eyeshadow works better for me.

LOL we are MAC twins. I use the same brush for my liner. I love their brushes they just last forever. What base color do you use?

I'm gonna have to try that bronzer. You have fair skin like me so it just might work. All the bronzer's I have tried just make me look dirty.

By the way I went on Sephora and noticed it was $62 for a jar, how long does that usually last?

I know, I about choked when I first bought it... but I keep buying it. A tub of this usually lasts me about 2-3 months.

Oh well that's not bad at all, if it was gonna be a monthly thing I would have to think twice.

You don't need much - a little goes a long way, and it feels so good when you scrub it on your skin!! You'll LOVE it.

Well I am definitly gonna try it. It's pricey but if it works it will cost less than all the rejects I have in the bathroom. It's more expensive to keep trying stuff. I got a body scrub done at a day spa a couple of years ago and I remember how awesome the results were. I wanted to buy some of their product but they don't sell it and its exclusively mixed for thier spa. Thanks for the tip!

LOL MAC twins..that's cute :) Base color for eyeshadow I usually use Honesty. I like to play with my eyeshadows. I may use gray/blacks with shimmery light brown or deep plum with a frosty off white or deep brown (Mulch or Bronze) with shimmery light brown or frosty light brown.

MAC bronzer makes me look dirty but the Clinique does not. It's a more natural bronze, not shimmery or frosty looking. You can use as much or as little as you want. I even put it on my neck and declotee (sp?).

I will have to try that on my trip to Sephora. I tried the whole bare essentials line and didn't care for it at all. So I'm back to my Studio Fix and now in need of bronzer. I don't change my blush color, my favorite is peachy keen by MAC.

I also love the shimmer cream at MAC, I can't remember the name though. Its a moisterizer that comes in teh white tube, glow cream?

Ok what color Studio Fix do you use? I use N4. LOVE IT!! Much better than liquid or creme foundation. I have way less breakouts.

My favorite lipstick is Viva Glam V.

Yep, the Glow Cream is great.

I just started using the NARS blush and I really like it. I don't have to use bronzer with it.

I don't care for the Bare Essentials either. I looked too shiny. My aunt uses though and loves it.

My studio fix color is NC25. I love it too, I am lucky bcz I have never had a problem with breakouts. I use a viva glam but I can't remember which one. I haven't tried NARS yet so I will have to check that out. But let me tell you, try the DiorShow mascara, you will not be dissapointed.

Hmmm. I also like Lip Venom. I don't wear a lot of makeup though.

Good mascara and lip gloss are my basics.

Also as far as skincare goes, I love anything from Lush.

I need to find a good base/foundation, one with a good moisturizer in it. What would you girls recommend? So far I had no luck after a few "experiments", my face still doesn't look porcelainy (new word LOL) :help:

I don't really have too many things I can't live without (when it comes to beauty). I ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS have a tube/pot of St. Ives Apricot Scrub at home and plenty of Bath & Bodyworks body lotions but that is about it.

here is a beauty tip..

if you take a little dab of St. Ives Apricot Scrub < or any scrub > place it on your lips, rubb it around a little bit ..and rinse your lips < careful not to eat it > it will make your lips butter smooth!!! and sooo kissable!!

You should try a tinted moisterizer. I have never used one because I prefer full coverage, but I think Sephora would be a good place to find it.

I have actually done that, not with the St. Ives, but with the scrub I get from the Dead Sea. Its a really good trick for buffing away dead skin. They have a really good lip conditioner at MAC, if you have chapped lips they virtually dissapear with the first application.
