I love going into Sephora but don't buy a lot there as it's pricey. But it's fun just going in once in awhile and trying on different make up.

AFCECF29.jpgAt Christmas time I got a roll-on eau de parfum there by Stella McCartney for $10 and I LOVE it. It's light smelling and the roll-on is great. Usually perfumes give me a headache and I hate most of them. But I am happy I found a perfume that doesn't make me feel sick.

Also I love the Eau Des 4 Reines (four roses scent) scent from L'Occitane, which is also very light and doesn't make me sick. I get the $15 eau de toilette and it lasts me awhile.

I don't use much MAC anymore because I don't like how the eyeshadows pigment is not really as bright as it looks in the dish. I have been disappointed by many colors that look bright and as soon as you apply it, it looks gray. My favorite eyeshadow these days is an Urban Decay set I got at Sephora over a year ago as a bday present from Sujeet (of course I had to pick it out :P ).

But even though I love make up, and brands that I can't really afford, I don't wear a lot of makeup usually and my eye shadows last for years. So I don't need any new make up for awhile.

I also love burt's bees chap stick and wear it every day.

You are the first person that has said that to about MAC, well the first person I have heard say it. The reason I do buy MAC is because I think they have really great pigmint, a little goes a longggggg way. I have found that certain browns do look grey on me, it took some time til I found the right brown at MAC. My favorite brown is Mulch, its a shimmery brown and I use it with a cream based color called Naked Lunch. Its one of my favorite combos.

However if you are shopping for MAC, what I find is the best thing to do is to make an appointment to have your make up done with them. In our area they make you buy a $50 giftcard in order to get your make up done and then you can buy the products you like with the card which is usually not a problem for me since I drop about $100 everytime I stop by.

I know Mulch...my mom or sister has that. :) When you use the cream base, it does help a lot. But I guess I am too lazy to do a lot of steps. :P What I still like from MAC is lipglass, though it can get a bit goopy feeling.

The reason I like Sephora so much is that instead of only one brand, it has so many different brands and so many variations of colors. MAC was my favorite until I went into my first Sephora a couple years ago. It was an enlightenment, the next level of makeup obsession. :D But like I said, I don't buy a lot of stuff from Sephora or MAC because of the prices, but once in awhile I get to pick out a treat! I like trying on all the make up in Sephora.

I had to think for quite a long time to find the ONE thing I couldn't live without:

Blistex.

I like a lot of stuff, Loreal mascara, Bobbi Brown in general (the eyeliner is the best!), Clinique- but the one thing I'd miss most is the little white Blistex tube.

:)

Oh, that reminds me of bath products. I use Brown Sugar Body Polish almost every day, and I never ever need moisturizer for my body because it is SO smooth and silky from this stuff. I think I would die without it, and I'm not exaggerating even a little bit.

Where do you buy the body polish? What brand is it? I have one that I use occasionaly but I'm not really impressed with it.

There's a few aromatherapy sugar scrubs on Bath & Body Works and they leave the skin pretty soft! And the best part is that you can try them on the store, they have a sink with testers :P I have a hand scrub from their spa line and it's just divine.

I will have to check that out. I have made my own homemade scrubs and they work good too. One of my faves is Dead Sea salt with baby oil. Has anyone ever made their own homemade scrubs?

The ones at Bath &Body Works are not the same as the Brown Sugar Body Polish! I've tried them, and they don't make you feel silky... and the scent is overpowering (not in a good way)! You can get Brown Sugar Body Polish (by Fresh) at Sephora.

I forgot my most important beauty supply of all....a satin scarf. I must have one to sleep in to protect my hair from the "pillow monster" that zaps my hair of moisture at night, and to put on my head in the winter to protect my hair from hat friction and static.

I don't really have too many things I can't live without (when it comes to beauty). I ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS have a tube/pot of St. Ives Apricot Scrub at home and plenty of Bath & Bodyworks body lotions but that is about it.

That's a classic

just started using the St. Ives Apricot Scrub & I love it.

I don't wear much make-up but I need my mascara(MAC eyemake-up remover), lip gloss & some blush. The one thing I couldn't live without....................... "Dove" soap. It is gentle & I use it everyday.

I think you are right, the cream base under the shadow makes all the difference when I use MAC. It also works well for making it last longer.

Thanks for the tip, I am definitly gonna check that out. My skin can be really dry at times and I have used so many different things, hopefully this will work.

I know! I am planning my trip to Sephora now!!!!! Thanks to everyone who has been adding to this thread, it has been awesome! Keep up coming and if you have any beauty tips those are welcome too!

I wanted to add one more to the list...Kerasel. Its an ointment for really dry skin on feet. 7 days...and its gone. Its a must for summer!

Oh well that's not bad at all, if it was gonna be a monthly thing I would have to think twice.
