Hey JP..have you tried Paul Mitchell straight works? I have naturally straight hair but use it to control fly aways. It may help in straightening your hair. It doesn't make my hair sticky at all.

Nope, I will have to pick some up. I have about 10 different things I have tried at home, all sitting in a cupboard collecting dust. I hope its a winner!

Oh how I hate that! I really like trying out new stuff, but if it doesn't work it just fills up a cabinet and I can't make myself throw it out- but I won't use it either.

I'm always hunting for the perfect eyeshadow in a nice chocolate brown and I have probably 15 shades of brown now, and I use maybe 2.

Shampoo and conditioner is the other thing I LOVE buying and trying, but if I don't like it (very often the case with conditioner) I'll never finish the bottle/tube/jar.

Well, I guess before I finally really move to the US that will give me a good reason to throw stuff out and start a new collection! ;)

I wish they made small packages of everything so I could try out LOTS without having to buy the full size bottles...

A lot of times in Sephora, they'll put a sample in a jar or tube for you. That's how I discovered the Brown Sugar Body Polish!

Thats a good tip! I have seen testers for alot of stuff in that place. The problem is you can literally spend hours there, its like going to Best Buy for Men.

Philosophy products are great! I use Purity face wash and Hope in Jar moisturizer and the micro dermal abrasion set (vitamin c and lactic acid based). I used Shiseido, but Philosophy is just awesome! I'm going to try the body products as well.

The Bodyshop cocoa body butter is perfect for my very dry skin. I can just recommend it to anyone with really dry skin.

Make-up: Clinique eyeshadow lasts forever, doesn't smear. The Dior Maxim Eyes Mascara is the best ever! Also the Dior lipglosses are just great.

I use Clinique make-up (hyperbalanced), but since my skin is really white I look as well Geisha-like (somebody wrote that earlier), but it helps a lot to add multi-colored powder (e.g. MAC or Physician's Formula or whatever the brand's name is).

With hair-products I am always looking for the best thing, but so far I just have bought enough hair products to wash every head in the US but nothing that really pleased me. I have really dry hair, slightly curled and very blond. Just a ray of sun and they get even dryer. So far I am ok with Paul Mitchell products. A tip anyone what might be better?

Best perfume: Cacharel Gloria! Awesome! Only available in the US through fragrance.com for some reason :(

Another must-have are nose-clear-up-strips, once a week to maintain the face free of blackheads.

Are you talking about the Biore ones? I have been using those and they are quite good.

Speaking of beauty products you cannot live without... Has anyone heard or tried the Ken Paves-Jessica Simpsons Hairdo hair extensions? I have seen the adverts so many times in magazines and just last week flipping throu the channel spotted them on QVC. I have never watched QVC until now. I am really interested in this product since I do have very long hair, but it is not all full... thick but no bounce I once had. Probably cos of the length... I am looking to try something new. And esp since when I go back to my husband, we will be getting some professional pictures done of us all dressed up. I want to look good.

I am wondering is it worth trying this hair thingie?

I have used extensions before but not these. I don't have very thick hair either and they made my hair look great but they were so heavy that I got a headache after 1 hour.

I have never woren extensions nor am I a beauty diva. I keep my regime pretty simple. But I am willing to try it out for these up coming pics. They say it is lightweight and these are not the ones they attach with glue (or whatever) it is just clipped on. It is about 80$ I am thinking to try it out...if it is not good then I only lost 80$...

The ones that I had were clip on too. They actually didn't feel heavy the I guess my head is sensitive. I could feel the extra weight and it got to me after awhile. I would say for pics, go for it because honestly they looked great. No one could tell they were extensions, not even my mom. Its just hard to wear them for a long time.

Would you choose the real human hair or the fake hair?

The fake stuff is not that bad but I prefer human because you can't curl the fake stuff. If you just want to wear it straight all the time then the fake stuff is fine and alot cheaper.

Bump.

Products I can't live without:

Baby wipes to take my make up off. Good enough for a kid's azz, good enough for my makeup needs  ---- and waaaaay cheaper than Olay wipes or the like.

Maja powder (Spain like Sol said) - which I cannot effing find in Seattle.

Henna for coloring my hair.

LUSH's "angels on bare skin" for exfoliation--- bye bye St. Ives Apricot.
