We are moving across the country and I am not sure what I am supposed to do.

My wife came in through SFO on 12/22/2012 and has a green card

Do we both file change of address? Is the case number the GZO number?

no you do not have to notify anyone of change of address relating to immigration, if you are in the US with a green card. when filing for removal of condition later this year you will provide your new address at that time.

This is incorrect.

The beneficiary (immigrant) must change their address with the USCIS using form AR-11 within 10 days of moving to a new address.

Any sponsors (petitioner or any joint sponsors) must change their address with form I-865 within 30 days of moving to a new address.

the individual involved is no longer a beneficiary but a legal permanent resident. your statement refers to people actively in processing at USCIS. i was a legal resident now a citizen, should i still keep informing USCIS when i move, get real.

My statement is for people who are an LPR, not who are still actively processing at the USCIS.

After you become a citizen you obviously no longer need to inform the USCIS. (Unless you are a sponsor to an immigrant, and then yes, you do.)

An LPR always will need to update their address with the USCIS.

you are at the right place. rights and responsibilities. read them carefully. you MUST register for selective service, you MUST pay taxes and you CANNOT be deprived your rights. there is no MUST in giving them your address because there is no law to penalize you for not adhering. DHS wants your address to contact you if they want to. you give the government your address when you want them to contact you. you cannot be deported for failing to give your address. you will be deported for not paying taxes.

I read the words "need" and "must" in there on page 12.

I've pointed out the necessary information to the OP and will no longer argue with you about this. Have a nice summer!
