USA Medical Exam in Ukraine at IOM Migration Health Unit

Since the American Embassy in Kiev has recently switched to having the medical exams at the

IOM Migration Health Unit can anyone pleased share a review of their medical exam at this facility.

I understand the cost is $215, paid in Ukrainian Hryvnya.

How about cost for vaccinations needed ?

Vaccinations when I was there they said they did not offered cos they did not had vaccines....(i asked just for fun).

If ur fiancee has vaccination list from local doctor that will make it all easy, they will just copy it in english.

In the US IF she does not have MMR (they probably may make her do it, but also may not, it all depends on the doctor you will see in the US).

Also my fiancé can not locate her vaccine records, so I'm interested what the new medical facility will require her to purchase.

It was at IOM.

Ur fiancee for sure should have medical records from (school, kindergarden times - if they are not lost of course). If she has them, tell her to take those records to the local doctor and he/she will transfer vaccinations that she has into a one paper that she can take for the medical in Kyiv.

In case if her child records are lost, i read on other forums she just may:

1. go to the local doctor (ask him/her) to transfer supposly received vaccines into a paper (of course it is not "very good" but by asking her what kind of deseases she had doctors sometimes help to "assume" what kind of vaccination she "supposedly" received). - this variant is a bit shady, but i give it just like an option....i read on forums people practice that...but it all depends on doctor she goes to.

2. also was reading somewhere that girls who did not had vaccination records during medical exam in Kyiv were asked by a doctor what kind of deseases they had and doc was filling vaccination list.

None of the above i was not practicing myself, as far as i had my vaccinations records since birth till now.

Also she may call IOM and ask them the price of vaccination, and take extra cash to pay it (in case if she want to do all missing vaccinations).
