I am glad we took down that ceiling, that was a waiting disaster. Turns out the ceiling joist is cracked through and holding it together was the knob and tube wiring. Dangerous.

No, not all over the floor because husband has been carefully bagging it up as he goes along. Thinking of doing the rewiring asap though.

Tuesday back-report, si and ouch and sigh man:

Slept well from bedtime at 1:Many till Many a.m., but writhing in pain from Many a.m. till alarm rang at Many a.m. Part of problem was that the lidocaine patch was inhibiting the icepack from doing its thing, see man, and other part of problem was that all the flat icepacks had been used, and the only ones left were ridged, ouch man. Therefore, could neither balance them on me nor lie atop them, no and ouch man.

After arising, managed to sit on couch in painless position; after about an hour, pain subsided. Was still unable to go in to work, no man. Took hourlong nap in early afternoon; awoke to same pain as original, which continues to this moment, sigh and ouch man. Have been uncomfortably shifting in chair while typing, in fruitless attempt to attain comfort, all of which bodes poorly for returning to work (= scraping aardvark guano off airport tarmacs), sigh man. If tomorrow is same or worse, will have to send Mrs. T-B. to retrieve work to bring home, although ability to sit down to do it is in question, sigh man.

We are, after all, on only the first day of the medical regiman, see man. But this rather sucks, si and ouch and sigh man.
