If you were going to inquire about the status of an application/whether something is being considered for a job you applied for, how would you say it?

And would you ask your supervisor or the one handling hiring while HR is gone?

I will ask the manager that is handling the hiring and interview, assuming the job position is within the same company?

"Hi Brian, I submitted an application for xyz job a few weeks ago. Is there anything else I can submit? Anything else you need from me?"

"Hi Brian, give me the job because you just lost three medicare employees and it's almost open enrollment season!"

"Hi, I'm desperate."

Hello all....so i am in New Brunswick....today was mad...got stolen from me essentially....can driver charged me 55 bucks for a ride that should have been 15, then I left my cell in a cab and had to fight the owner to bring it to me, got a little lost trying to not take a cab to see an apartment, hotel would not let me check in until 4pm but then saw me quite out of it and totally beat that they pushed me in front of the line of waiting guests and i am finally in my room.....with bucket of veggies and hummus and pita chips.

Saw two apartments..both similar...one does not allow dogs but i like it better and it is closer...I am thinking to rent it for 6 months only as trial period and see if I want a pet and also it will give me the opportunity to see more apartments in the meantime. If i apply by the 20th of July I get one month free rent so that is what i will do.

Husband is being a d....k not only is he being annoying with paperwork....like things I will need for ROC he is telling me "oh 30% chance you will get it today since I don't want a divorce" so I said "wow...classy...as long as you get what you want you dont care what happens to me or how i feel ....well guess what....even if i got deported because you failed to provide the little evidence we actually have (because of you) i am still divorcing your azz because I won't be staying in marriage where I gotta do all the work and you just sit there but I suppose i had gone thru my anger and hate stage and grieved and you only now are at that point so fine by me"

his response "I did not think you were angry at all....I thought that since you got angry with me one day and next talked to me ..it was all ok"...now

1 - of course I wont be yelling at him in perpetuity and he knows this..I told him...I do not yell...I am scared of fights that involve yelling (past stuff) so I try my best not to get worked up too hard however

2- me closing the door shut and telling you i have no problem packing and moving out in a day or

many - me moving next door or

many more - sending emails over and over and talking over and over and being at the doctor's office 2x because of stress related issues...and not sleeping at all.....for months on end....

not angry enough not bothered enough ......does he live somewhere else ? ####### !!!!! I am so angry now I could seriously punch him.

oh and the best part "well you dont know what would have happened if we did move.....you think i would do nothing you dont know but i guess now we wont know at all....." F U F U F U

yeah, get it tested - hopefully it isn't contaminated by asbestos. You could look up the year the house was built and see if most of the vermiculite used at that time was contaminated or not. If it is, that is going to expensive and you will need to get it removed as it is a health hazard. If it isn't, then you can do the work yourself. If it were still a sealed and inaccessible space then you could afford to put off dealing with it, but now that it is exposed, you do need to do something.

When we were preparing my Dad's house to sell after he died, the buyer's inspection revealed a small attic adjacent to his bedroom had vermiculite and we had it tested to see if it was contaminated. Unfortunately it was, so we had to pay to have it removed by professionals and the attic re-insulated before the buyers would close on the deal. It cost us several thousand dollars.

House was built in 1917, so technically before the Libby mine issue, but the insulation could be a later addition. We are waiting on hearing back from the building inspector on whether we need a permit to pull down and put up a new ceiling.

The house I grew up in New York had asbestos in the doors, walls, and the siding. It actually ended up saving our lives during an electrical fire in the walls. This stuff was put in the ceiling to protect from electrical fires so in some ways, I am hesitant to remove it elsewhere in the house.

Here having these problems won't get you any fixes or money off from a seller because all the houses seem to have asbestos, structural issues, lead paint, and knob and tube.
