Tiff is not a Malay, nothing to do with whatever Malay culture.

She is Malaysia Chinese. But still her behavior is similar to all Asians who left their poor countries to work overseas and being expected to send money / stuff home.

By the way, I see chinese servers at Super Moon Buffet. So I don't know what illegal problems you are talking about.

Tiff is from Malaysia, just because she's not ethnically Malay, doesn't mean the country her family has lived for generations and she was raised in doesn't affect her. Why is it from some reason being ethnically Chinese is supposed to mean they've not been affected by the culture of the country they live in? Chinese Filipinos, Chinese Thai, Chinese anywhere are somehow not part of the culture they live in. And I wasn't referring to the send money home thing, I was referring to when someone has a party iE Steve's BBQ, everyone starts inviting themselves plus their friends and relatives. I know this is the practice in the Philippines, and was wondering if its also the practice in Malaysia.

Ask Steve about the illegal Chinese in the USA. Seemed there was a lot of them at Super Moon for a while, but recently those I suspected of being newly illegal in the states are no longer there. There is also fewer people working to.

honestly, if my husband did that to me, i would never forgive him. marital problems are between me and him, not me, him and a dozen of our friends. and not even his/my parents.

chinese congregation mode is common, and Tiff uses it with her friends. She'll posit an opinion, giving over a small bit of information to her friends (not all information), then the friends, since they are her friends, support her opinion, echo back and reinforce the opinion.

Steve needs (IMO) to do a reversal on chinese congregation mode, having them all together and push the ENTIRE SITUATION onto the group, as it's never been presented by Tiff to her friends in it's entirety.

I suffered from this for some time, know the pattern, know what to do to overcome it. It's not pretty and it can have a high risk of scamper, but when it works, all of a sudden there's a group of her friends that actually understand all of the problem and are supporting her to fix the problem MY way - a way they've never encountered prior because they never had all the information, prior.

Sure, it will smack of character assassination for some time during a 6 hour spew, but IMO, it's needed...

The Chinese in Malaysia are very traditional Chinese. Even more so than the mainlanders now. They don't want any part of the Malay Muslim culture. Toothache was right on. Singapore was once a part of the federation.
