In my wife's culture, what is happening to Steve is exactly what would happen there. I'm thinking Malay culture is not much different from Filipino culture. Except Filipinos know to keep a lot of noodles a rice on the table, and let the invited guests get first crack at the good stuff. They also always make enough food to feed three times the expected turn out.

Tiff is not a Malay, nothing to do with whatever Malay culture.

She is Malaysia Chinese. But still her behavior is similar to all Asians who left their poor countries to work overseas and being expected to send money / stuff home.

By the way, I see chinese servers at Super Moon Buffet. So I don't know what illegal problems you are talking about.

Like I said. She's cooked about 5 meals in 6 years.

I used to cook 2 or 3 times a week.

So the subject of respect came up last night....

I went into her handbag, started pulling stuff out and rearranging them. And threw some stuff in the garbage. Saying that she doesn't need this, let me throw it out. Or this doesn't belong here, let me stuff it somewhere else....

Then I asked her....is this respectful ? Do you like it? She reluctantly answered no. I swear she wanted to say yes, just to disagree.

Then I asked her, then why the f do you do it to me? Even after I told you a hundred times, leave my things alone, don't touch my desk!

Tried to disagree, find the same old excuses like oh I didn't know. So I reminded her that it has been said a hundred times, so you just think I was BSing? Or you just didn't care to listen? Or you just plain don't give a sheet...

We fought for 2 days, started after the bbq.

I was ready to walk away.
