You may be able to do most of it yourself. I know in California they have like an "easy" version that doesn't require a lawyer at all.

I am definitely going to research it and try it without lawyer..I know where to file and I know we have no child custody stuff or any issues with splitting money or property....I will look into it because I don't really want to spend god knows how much on a lawyer to fill out papers for me or him. We won't be telling people about it which makes it easier....i don't want to have to deal with that just yet. Feels bad enough. Kinda nauseating.

TBonez - just read your See-Vorld report - ouch man - but it's good SHE got it out of her 'system' - I will only say 'this' about 'that' - I miss AstroWorld in ways I never thought I'd think about, as an adult.

As to yer back problems - you should get to a chinese accupuncture specialist NOW , get the needle work done. Sure, it's a temporary fix, but what could you do with 2 weeks of NO PAIN ? I know my answer - I hope yours mirrors mine.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Of course it does. That's why people don't ever part, because of the way it feels when they do, even though they should. Next thing you know 20 years later they part and feel fine about it, but they had to go through all that misery in the meanwhile to do it. Not worth the trade off. I felt sick the entire time when I left my ex, but it was the right decision, and that was still 10 years down the road. I knew it was the right decision because I was happy to be leaving, I had no emotional attachment about staying, I wanted to leave, even though it's scary; I just felt sick at hurting someone else. But you can't live your life walking on eggshells wondering if you're going to hurt someone else's feelings, or make someone unhappy, or do something someone doesn't like. I find myself on occasion doing it still, I'm a bit of people pleaser (which is good for retail but not so good for life) and while not generally with hubs but more with friends, he normally snaps me out of it and says "make yourself happy, because if you aren't happy, i'm not happy, so stop!" Even if what I am doing makes him unhappy, he doesn't want me to change what I'm doing or why just to make him happy. (Of course I would, but that's my choice. :D)

I found it pretty simple to do without a lawyer. You aren't likely to have a contentious divorce because as you said there are no money/property/child issues.

Cool hubby!

I know! That's why I get over when he insults my food. LOL He's not saying it to be a d**k, he just truly feels he's being honest which is what he asks of me. But he has low social skills, mostly because he's an introvert, which makes the delievery shitastic.

On another note, I'm am rather sick of the effects of family changes forum. Really really really.... sick of it. I cannot type what I really think, so I'm not reading it. NOPE!

in other sub-forums here - I write:

get into your county courthouse, where the divorces are filed. ask the clerk of the court where the law library is. get to the law library, make a new friend with the law librarian, tell him/her you seek the templates for no-fault divorce . In some places these are free, in others they charge a minimal copying fee.

I suggest you file in the county of your current residence (Ohio? Pennsylvania? I can never remember) before you jump to NJ, having bought a 1 year contracted po box at the usps office,in that city where the soon-to-be-ex resides (and not tell him about it) , using that address to file for the divorce paperwork.

Ohio allows no fault divorce, so if the two of you agree to it you would fie as Incompatible. It looks like it can be done real easy and fast from the little bit I saw on line. Again sorry /hugs

I'm so sorry, Jada! But I think you will feel better in the end. Feel free to message me if you ever need an e-hug or a silly photo. My google skills are spot on.

I love a guy who looks like he could be on Criminal Minds as either an agent or a killer.

How come I don't get silly photos?

House update - water softener is in, dishwasher is almost in, I guess it has some sort of weird electric hookup? Having seen a couple of more expensive models fail pretty quickly, we decided to go with this one http://www.lowes.com/pd_377813-46-WDF310PLAW_0__?Ntt=wdf310plaw&UserSearch=wdf310plaw&productId=3646772&rpp=32

I am switching the appliances to white because I really don't like the black/stainless combo.
