serious suggestion - stagger your guests' arrival. ask gump and family to come a bit later than your friends so that a) your friends get to eat first (ensuring they get to eat at all) and b) you get some gump-free time with your friends. even an hour would make a difference i'm sure.

maybe passive aggressive but unless you want to tell gump and co, NO... f##k off, I hate you. Which isn't going to happen, lets be honest, then passive aggressive it is.

As if Tiff is going to go hang out with gump and co when you have rib eye and lobsters.

Tiff invited her sister. Naturally, Gump and little Gump are invited. Then Gump, tells his wife to tell my wife that his brother and his family will be sleeping over their house for the long weekend, and that they'll be coming too.

Now the right thing to do. That anyone of us here would have done, would be to decline and arrange to eat elsewhere. Especially understanding that this is not a BBQ hosted for the purpose of feeding solely the Gumps......

But Gump (This is why we call him Gump) is just plain too fing stupid to understand any of this social etiquette.
