Your wife is a professional boxer?

No, she has no experience at all. I have black belts in tae kwon do and judo. All American in wrestling and state boxing finalist in two different states.

But she has been watching lessons carefully and makes sure they are striking with the heel on a side kick or the ball of the foot on a front kick, or that their wrists are straight when punching, etc. It's so much fun to do it as a family.

I feel so bad there is a little girl who was in my daughter's class who is having her birthday in a week and so far no one from class has RSVPed yes (normally parties get a lots of the kids going). She's a good little kid and we'd totally go if we were back there.

I think I'll have my daughter make a card for her today.

that is sad. :( why are they not RSVPing though? is it because it's summer and most kids are on vacation?

i know my birthday always fell during the school holidays and when i was a kid, i was so upset because it meant i couldn't have that classroom celebration where my mom would bring in a cake and everyone would get goodie bags. :P silly looking back at it now, but it meant a lot to me when i was seven lol.

That's terrible....

My daughter just had her birthday party at school a few days ago :)

happy birthday to your daughter! what'd you get her for her birthday?

Flying to Seattle on 6 May 2014!

She said about half RSVPed No and the rest haven't sent an emails or called yet. The other summer party had trouble getting RSVPs too, I don't know why. I RSVPed like an hour after we got the invite. Everyone RSVPed for my daughter's party and only one couldn't make it, but we were also the first party of the year.

Hi all,

spent the night in the living room....grand kids were here....no place to sleep for the boy since living room is where everyone watches tv till late...felt bad for him....he was so happy when I told him to go sleep in my room lol I actually did not sleep badly....passed out until about 9 which hasn't happened for many months now (not in this house anyways). So yay ! Watched the final stage of Tour de France....awesome and some Formula 1....

just made week menu plan hoping to go to the store soonish.....testing a couple of recipes....mushroom bread pudding and smoked aubergine curry and then nutella/heath toffee brownies in a skillet....having fun with it and oh paella the quick way :) Excited for new stuff.

Moving in 3 weeks. Lawyer gave me timeline and job did too...all is good. Tomorrow doing my theory exam...working on picking out a car, might end up leasing one...thinking Subaru not forester..the other...cannot think of a name....what else....gotta find containers to put all my stuff into.

Hope you are all having a good weekend :)

In Canada the best time of year for a birthday is June. It's warm and you can have outside birthdays and everyone is still in school so no one is on vacation. I guess it would have to be a May birthday in the USA (or Sept.) Of course I'm in Feb, so it's always freezing cold, and poor kiddo is in March. She was down here for her last birthday though which was nice. :)
