But that c30 concept is a wicked little hatch. Never thought I'd say that about a Volvo. Lol

I used to dream about having that car (and about 100 others)....configured it online....oh so much fun. I think in Europe you could pick more colors and combinations and personalize it, not so much on the US website....not in the last year anyways.

I am looking for older and used cars....could possibly have 3k down payment and co-signer. Tempted to get used fiat 500 cause it is so me.

Sometimes those that didn't finish high school, don't realize they're paying too much.

Yeah I dunno why in the world did Trophie dropped out of school......

I don't send my money across oceans to my poor family, hence I get to spend it on things I like.

FTR, I did get a high school diploma after starting college when I had shown proof I got a good grade in Calculus.

I'm sure you're used to diff cars being from Europe. I still don't understand how north america hasn't figured out to bring the super mileage diesels over yet. When I see car commercials saying 30 mpg all I can think is, we've had 30 mpg for 30 years. Find something better! And not a car like a Prius that seems good but isn't.

They do have cars that have better mpg, but I noticed a lot of them are lighter/smaller which isn't necessarily going to please Americans.

At some point necessity will bring the rest.

I feel bad complaining about because TB's is definitely worse, but my back and legs have been killing me lately and I have to go into the Forks today because I am almost out of Foundation and Lactaid. Apparently, it is common for even big super markets here not to carry lactose free milk. I'm basically stuck getting it in a smaller size at Walmart or bigger at Target. That big size took up a large section of the milk department back in CT. Not sure why people up here don't need it, but whatever.

Jada should get a very used Dodge/Mercedes Sprinter ...

or a very used Volvo Wagon

or a girlfriend that has either.

;)

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Ride your dog? Lol!!

Don't get very used. You'll spend more money fixing the damn thing than it's worth.

is why I think I will have to wait since I got no money to get anything half decent. Might figure out buses/trains for now and wait a month or two before getting a car. We will see...I should really just start packing up the rest of my stuff so i know how much i have....4 or 5 boxes.....lol Thank god I got bed sheets and mug and a bowl and some food left ...like rice and the like. That will take me thru the month.

Used is fine, very used is not.

IMHO anything more than 10 years old is up there and ends up costing vs not, but it depends on the warranty the car originally had. Certain makes cost more but last longer (aka Honda.) You can also plan on a domestic where every scrapyard will have a usable spare part for cheap. That makes fixing easier of course. Foreign cars are always are expensive to fix and maintain.

But you can buy or lease a new ford fiesta, mazda2, hyandai etc for super cheap which is really a good direction to take. Leasing may be a good fit for you. :)

I want to try out the new Mazda2 when we get it. It's 2015 for Japan and Europe so likely 2016 for us, so maybe I'll be done school by then!! :)

No wait I won't be.... Whatever. Lol

The first thing I look at is the trunk, it needs to be big. I need to be able to do groceries and get the food home.

Good thinking. Trunks should always be big enough to hide the body in.

Hubs says I'm too mean and sound angry when I lead. Too mom like I guess. He sounds like a military a so I don't know where he has room to talk but I've tried to be nicer. I'm just not that manipulative though to go round about.

Maybe switch to saying to underlings, Just wait until your father gets home! My mother used that on me, and then my father kicked my azz, so he was the mean one.
