All the kids at my daughter's elementary were doing hair chalk, she even talked me into letting her do it last year.

Then again, if she told me she wanted to dye her tips pink, I'd probably let her do that too.

Yep she's 11. She's wanted to put pink streaks in for years but I've always said no. I still think she's too young for actual hair dye, but I was totally not interested at her age so maybe that effects my thought process. But because she can wash this out, I don't have an issue with it. When she's a teen she can practice with dye if she wants.

I have to find a piercing place in Denver for her ears that I've been promising since she was 8. She's going into middle school... Goodness they get big too soon! I just don't want her growing up too fast. Girls learn the sexual thing without learning the responsibility or self respect part that goes with.

For me, dip dying is ok at a younger age so that you don't get chemicals on the scalp. Highlights or whatever would be fine around 10/11 for my kid, but I know a lot of parents that would think that was awful.

Oooohh I have a place - I actually had my ears done there, they fixed a bad job done by a piercing gun when I was younger that had scarred over. Very professional and highly rated. Also had some body piercings done there and a few other people I know also have.

Yeah Claire's is not an option, that's why I've put off the piercing.

I will look into that place, thanks Nola! I want my ears redone as well, they were badly pierced originally. I can only wear dangling earnings because of it.
